From central Columbia, head west on US-378 and turn southwards where US-378 meets US-1 and follow US-21 until the exit to Airport Boulevard to the right. Follow Airport Boulevard to the terminal.
Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (tel: (803) 255 7100; www.gocmrta.com) operates bus services between Columbia Metropolitan Airport and the city centre. Bus 28A departs from outside the terminal and runs to the Transit Centre in the city (journey time: 25 minutes; fare: US$1.75).
Shuttle: Earth Shuttle (tel: (803) 714 0080) and Shuttleways (tel: (803) 783 0265) run shuttle services from Columbia Metropolitan Airport. Several hotels in the area also provide free shuttle transport. A hotel courtesy phone is located in the baggage claim area.
Taxi: The taxi and shuttle pick-up area is located just outside baggage claim. Conference and business:
The airport’s business centre (tel: (803) 822 7950) is open from 0800 to 1800 on weekdays. It is located in the main lobby of the terminal and includes a conference room, computer workstations, fax and photocopy machine, a lounge and a kitchen area. The Carolina meeting room on the lower level can accommodate up to 80 delegates. Reservations for use of this room use must be made in advance. Meeting and conference space is available at the larger city hotels.
Disabled facilities:
There are ramps and lifts throughout Columbia Metropolitan Airport, as well as disabled parking spaces for wheelchair-bound travellers. Some signage is in Braille, and Skycap porters are on hand to help.
Car parking:
Multi-storey, surface and valet parking are available. Parking in the multi-storey car park is free for the first 20 minutes. Long-term rates are available in the surface car park. Car rental:
Car hire companies located at Columbia Metropolitan Airport include: Alamo-National, Avis, Budget Car Rental, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and Thrifty. Car hire desks for these operators are located near baggage claim on the lower level.

A budget option close to the airport, the Knights Inn offers free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast. On-site dining facilities are not available but there are several options nearby.

Just 1.6 km (1 mile) from Columbia Metropolitan Airport, the Sleep Inn is a budget-price option, but it does offer a free shuttle service for guests.
