Airport news: 

Minor improvements to the terminal building at Nashville International Airport are expected to be completed by August 2012. A new car hire building opened in November 2011 to provide space for an additional 1,400 cars.

The Information Center (tel: (615) 275 1675) is located on the baggage reclaim level of the passenger terminal. Beige courtesy telephones, located throughout the terminal, can be used to contact the centre for information and assistance.

Driving directions: 

From central Nashville, take Interstate 40 east towards the airport and then take exit 216A. From the south, Interstate 24 west links to Interstate 40; from the north, Interstate 65 south links to Interstate 40. From the east, Interstate 40 west leads to Donelson Pike south, then take exit 216 for Nashville International Airport.

Public Transport

Public transport road: 

Bus: Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (tel: (615) 862 5950; www.nashvillemta.org) operates bus 18 to the city centre. A single far is US$1.60. Bus route information is available at the customer service booth. All buses depart from the ground transportation level, outside the terminal building.

Shuttle: The Gray Line Airport Express (tel: (615) 275 1188; www.grayline.com) provides fast minibus services between the airport and downtown Nashville, with pick-up outside the baggage reclaim area every 15 minutes. A one-way Grayline fare to central Nashville is US$12. A number of other operators provide shuttle bus services to central Nashville and the surrounding area.

Taxi: Taxis leave from just outside the passenger terminal. The fare to central Nashville is approximately US$25.

Terminal facilities

Money: 

ATMs, bureau de change and bank facilities are all available throughout the terminal.

Communication: 

Paid-for wireless internet is available. Fax services are provided by Wright Travel Business Center on the ticketing level. Postal and courier services are also available.

Food: 

There are snack bars, cafés, coffee shops, ice cream parlours, and grill rooms as well as a range of restaurants at Nashville International Airport.

Shopping:

Disabled facilities: 

Nashville International Airport is physically accessible to disabled passengers, with lifts connecting all floors. TDD phones are available throughout the airport. Disabled parking spaces area located on the front rows of all car parks; courtesy shuttles from the long-term and economy car parks are equipped with wheelchair lifts. Travellers should notify their airline in advance if they require assistance to/from the aircraft.

Short- and long-term and economy parking is available; the short-term car park is located directly in front of the terminal. There is a courtesy shuttle service to/from long-term, economy and overflow parking. Valet parking (tel: (615) 275 5381) is available.
