There are plans for another terminal, Terminal F, in the future, however dates for this project are not yet finalised.

Information: 

Multilingual information boards can be found throughout Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Interactive visitor information centres are located near the baggage reclaim areas, providing information and direct dialling to some transportation options from the airport. Travelers Aid offices are located in terminals B and D. DFW Airport Ambassadors are stationed throughout all terminals to provide assistance, including directing passengers to connecting flights, bag claim and other airport facilities.

Transfer between terminals: 

The terminals at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport are connected by the world's largest airport train: Skylink. This bi-directional system speeds guests through terminals in an average of five minutes. Transportation between terminals while outside security is available on Terminal Link, a free shuttle service. Pick-up and drop-off points are located on the upper level of each terminal, outside the baggage reclaim areas.

Driving directions: 

There are airport connections from the south on highways 183 or 360, or from the north on highways 114, 121 or 635. All exits are on the left. From central Dallas, head north on I-35E; continue (northwest) on Route 183; turn off onto Ramp DFW Airport; and then continue (north) on International Parkway North (toll road). From central Fort Worth, head north on I-35 West; at exit 52A turn onto Ramp Route 121; merge onto Route 121 (Airport Freeway); continue on I-820, Route 121, and then Route 183 East. Once here, turn onto Ramp DFW Airport/Amon Carter Boulevard, and then continue (north) along the International Parkway North toll road.

Public Transport

Public transport rail: 

Rail: Trinity Railway Express (tel: (214) 979 1111 or (817) 215 8600; www.trinityrailwayexpress.org) offers direct connections to a number of stations in both Dallas and Fort Worth, Monday to Saturday. The journey time to downtown Dallas is around 20 minutes, and the one-way fare is US$3.50. Shuttles connect the station and the terminals and are free for passengers holding a valid air ticket.

Public transport road: 

Bus: Airporter buses (tel: (817) 267 5150) serve various destinations, including major hotels in Fort Worth, from the upper level of each terminal. Fares start at US$15, and boarding is available at all major Fort Worth hotels.

Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, on the upper level of Terminals A, B, C and E, and on the lower level of Terminal D.

Shuttle: Numerous shared-ride shuttle services are available.

Terminal facilities

Money: 

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has multiple ATMs and bureaux de change.

Communication: 

Post office services are available. Fax and paid-for internet kiosks can be found in all terminals.

Food: 

There are more than 100 food and drink outlets at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, ranging from snack bars and fast food counters to à la carte dining establishments.

Shopping: 

Duty-free shopping is available in Terminals A and B for international passengers. In all, there are more than 100 shops offering everything from cosmetics and drinks to Texan souvenirs.

Luggage: 

Luggage trolleys are available throughout all terminals. Luggage lockers are not available.

Other: 

Barber shops, massage and manicure salons, spa and shoeshine services are available, and there are chapels in all terminals.

Airport facilities

Conference and business: 

High-speed internet kiosks and data ports are located in all terminals. Samsung mobile travel centres and 24-hour business centres are located in terminals A, B, C and E, as well as at Skylink stations. Features include work counters, semi-private workstations, internet access, and phone outlets at each seat. A Laptop Lane business centre provides private workstations with computers, IDD telephones, fax, printing and internet. Smathers Business Center, located in the on-site Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel (tel: (972) 615 6855; dfwairport.hyatt.com), offers a range of business services, plus 74 meeting rooms, an exhibition hall and two ballrooms.

Disabled facilities: 

Wheelchairs are available from individual airlines in each terminal; passengers should request any special assistance from their airline prior to travel. There is disabled parking available in all car parks. The inter-terminal Terminal Link vans are wheelchair accessible. There are TDD telephones, amplified receivers and lowered telephones throughout all terminals.

Car parking: 

Terminal car parks for short-stay parking are located next to each terminal, within walking distance of the gates. Express car parks are situated slightly further away and are served by shuttle connections to the terminal. Long-term, economy parking is available at remote sites, also serviced by the free airport shuttle buses. Car rental: 

The car hire centre is a 10-minute shuttle ride from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport; shuttles depart from the lower level of each terminal. Car hire and pick-up is arranged here. Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, EZ Rent, Hertz, National and Thrifty are all represented; courtesy telephones are located by baggage reclaim.

Airport hotels

There is a large selection of hotel options within a short distance of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, including two on-site. Assistance with hotel bookings is available at the airport information desks. Many local hotels offer courtesy transport to and from the terminals.

Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport South

This 146-room hotel provides courtesy transport both to and from the airport, and to anywhere within an 8km (5 mile) radius. Facilities include six meeting rooms, an American bistro-style restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool and gymnasium.

Dallas Fort Worth Airport Marriott

Located 3km (2 miles) from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the Marriott also offers conference and meeting facilities, along with three restaurants, a bar and a coffee kiosk. As with other local hotels, the Marriot provides courtesy transport to and from the airport.

Grand Hyatt DFW

The more opulent of the two on-site hotels, the 300-room Grand Hyatt is integrated within Terminal D, and is thus readily accessible via Skylink or Terminal link connections. It also has 45 meeting rooms, 20 conference suites, a rooftop swimming pool, gym and even a cooking school.

For those travelling on a more restricted budget, this is a good option close to the airport. Holiday Inn Express Dallas Fort-Worth Airport South operates free shuttle services from 0530 to 2300 and has a business centre with free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is included in the room rate.
