San Antonio International Airport Guide (SAT)
Here you'll find essential information on San Antonio International Airport, including contact details, airport transfer facts, details of airport facilities, and how to get there.
San Antonio International Airport is currently in the process of implementing major expansion and improvement projects, including a new car hire building and renovation of Terminal A. The new Terminal B opened for business in November 2010, and a future Terminal C has been proposed.
The information and help desks are located in the Terminal A baggage reclaim area and in Terminal B, where travellers turn towards the baggage reclaim area. Ambassadors can also provide assistance. For airport information, passengers should contact International Airport Paging and Information (tel: (210) 207 3411).
Passengers can transfer between terminals via a covered walkway.
San Antonio International Airport can be reached from the major motorways into and around San Antonio itself. The airport is located between two motorway loops: from Loop 410, take the Airport Boulevard exit. From Highway 281 North, take the Airport Boulevard exit or the Jones Maltsberger, South Terminal Drive exit, and then take the first right onto South Terminal Drive. From Highway 281 South, after the San Antonio International Airport exit, turn left onto South Terminal Drive.
Drivers can also access the airport via a connector road off Highway 281 North. Located just after Airport Boulevard, the Highway 281 North connection provides direct, elevated access into the parking and terminal facilities.
