Flying to Vanuatu

The national airline is Air Vanuatu (NF) (www.airvanuatu.com). Air Vanuatu flies to Port Vila from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland. Virgin Australia (www.virginaustralia.com) flies from Brisbane. There are also flights from New Caledonia and Fiji.

Air notes:

Air Vanuatu is a full-service airline (meals and drinks included in the fare) and allows 23kg stowed luggage. Virgin Australia has a ‘user pays’ policy for in-flight meals, drinks, entertainment and stowed luggage.

Flight times:

From London to Vanuatu is 30 hours. Sydney to Vanuatu is under 4 hours.

Air passes:

Air Vanuatu has a code share arrangement with Qantas and Qantas Frequent Flyer points can be redeemed/earned.

Departure tax:

Departure tax for international flights is included in the ticket price.
