Improvements to the international departures area are currently under way, and there are plans to build an on-site hotel.
Information desks are strategically located throughout both terminals, with three desks in the International Terminal (tel: (0212) 303 1527, 1528 or 1580) and two in the National Terminal (tel: (0212) 303 1483 or 1408).
The two terminals are linked by a pedestrian walkway. A free shuttle bus service also links the terminals.
Upon exiting the airport, follow signs to Autopista/Caracas and drive through a toll booth and two tunnels (Boquerón I and Boquerón II). Then keep left upon arrival at a third tunnel (La Planicie) and follow signs to Petare. The tunnel leads into Caracas city centre.
Bus: UCAM buses (tel: (0212) 352 4818) run between the airport and Caracas (journey time: 40 minutes; fare: US$3). Bus stops are conveniently close to the metro stations in Caracas.
Taxi: An official 24-hour taxi service is provided by Corporación Anfitriones de Venezuela (tel: 0212) 352 8555). There are distinctive yellow desks in the arrivals areas of both terminals where passengers can pay for the trip in advance. Passengers are advised not to use unofficial taxis whose drivers tout for business in the terminal. Official taxis are available from outside Arrivals and Departures at both terminals: these can also be booked online through Taxi to Caracas (www.taxitocaracas.com). The fare to the city is around US$45.
Restaurants, fast-food outlets, cafés and bars are located throughout both terminals, including sushi and steak restaurants in the National Terminal and a grill restaurant in the International Terminal.
There is a variety of shops in both terminals ranging from bookshops to confectioners, jewellers and designer boutiques. The duty-free shop is located in the International Terminal, near gate 16.
A left-luggage service is available in both terminals. Trolleys can be found throughout the airport. Beware of informal porters who tend to overcharge.
There is no full-service business centre at Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport. However, facilities to send/receive faxes, as well as photocopying and internet access are available from the Movistar centre and Aeroconet Internet Café on level 3 of the International Terminal.
There are a number of executive lounges at the airport, including the American Airlines Admiral Club and the United-Iberia Lounge on the second floor of the International Terminal.

Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport is easily accessible to disabled travellers with lifts and ramps available where necessary. Passengers requiring wheelchairs should contact their airline in advance. Disabled parking is available in both the short- and long-term car parks.
Short- and long-term car parking facilities are located at the National Terminal, with a further long-term car park at the International Terminal. Both long-term car parks are open 24 hours a day, while the short-term area is open from 0430 to 2330.
