Hotels in Warsaw

As Warsaw has become increasingly tourist friendly over the years, it has made allowances for various travellers by opening several budget and mid-range hotels, thereby completing the range between 5-star travel and student hostels. Please note that, with the exception of the lower budget hotels and hostels, prices for rooms are usually quoted in euros.

The Warsaw hotels below have been grouped into three pricing categories:
Luxury (over €160)
Moderate (€60 to €160)
Cheap (up to €60)
These Warsaw hotel prices are based on the lowest standard rates for a double room, excluding taxes and excluding breakfast, unless otherwise specified.

Castle Inn Oki Doki

Castle Inn Oki Doki has plenty going for it. It's the only hotel within the limits of Warsaw's Old Town, is stumbling distance from the Royal Castle, and is housed in a 17th-century tenement house that miraculously survived WWII. Rooms (most of which are 3-star, a handful 4) are colourful ensembles, each sporting a unique and playful theme, such as 'Alice in Wonderland' or 'Oriental Express'.

Harenda Hotel

A well-priced accommodation in the heart of Warsaw, Harenda offers simple rooms equipped with a TV and a safe. The lobby is welcoming and once checked in, you can climb the large wide staircase to find your room. Note that some of the rooms/suites have been rented out for business purposes (doctors' offices - nothing seedy!). The hotel entrance is off Krakowskie-Przedmiescie to the left.

Le Méridien Bristol

One of Warsaw's finest, opened in 1899 only a few minutes' walk from the Old Town Square, this member of the Leading Hotels of the World maintains a certain ambience and style remarkably well. The rooms are decorated in muted tones with period-style wooden furniture and benefit from sweeping high ceilings. The lobby hosts several boutiques, a cigar store and a newsagent. The Marconi Restaurant, one of the hotel's two restaurants, offers a delicious all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch, while the hotel's super café serves sinful desserts.

Mamaison Hotel Le Regina Warsaw

Mamaison Hotel Le Regina Warsaw is a cut above the competition, and located just north of the Old Town in a quiet neighbourhood. It's housed in a gorgeous 18th-century palace and filled with period furniture, but it's modern where it counts, with sparkling new bathrooms and Wi-Fi connection throughout. Rooms are coloured in eye-catching chocolate and vanilla and are bright and breezy. Internet specials are often available.

Maria Hotel

Away from the city centre, but handy to the city's Jewish sights, Maria Hotel is a small, family-run and family-friendly hotel with modern amenities and a decent restaurant on the premises. Rooms are generally big, bright, and airy, and all are en suite.

Premiere Classe Varsovie

It lives up to its name in cleanliness and prime location (very close to Warsaw's main train station) but this is a straightforward 'tourist class/budget' hotel with few frills beyond en-suite facilities and a colour TV with a satellite connection. Wi-Fi access is available from the first to fourth floors for a small fee. What you lose in character, you'll gain in saving zloty for more interesting pursuits.

Radissson Blu Centrum Hotel Warsaw

This 5-star Warsaw hotel's rooms offer a choice of three styles of décor ranging from Maritime to Scandinavian to Italian. Each style differs through colour scheme, furniture and layout. The Italian style is most whimsical. Staff are accommodating, and there's a first-rate fitness centre in the basement, featuring a pool, cardio and weight facilities plus massage and beauty services.

Sheraton Warsaw Hotel

The Sheraton Warsaw Hotel boasts modern facilities, with sizable rooms including broadband and a proper desk. This is a popular venue for corporate events and weddings due to the quality catering and stylish venues on offer. The hotel has a decent fitness center and six places to dine and drink either formally or casually. Live bands often perform at the Someplace Else Bar, and The Oriental has notable Asian cuisine.
