After years in the doldrums this large hotel in Stavanager which occupies a distinguished 19th century brick building has been refitted and revamped to good effect. The hotel bar with its antique furnishings and fittings has a first-rate range of whisky and although the rooms beyond lack decorative individuality they are all perfectly comfortable with every mod con.
