What it lacks in 21st century décor, the Amman International makes up in cleanliness and friendliness. The rooms are respectable: beds are soft, wooden furnishings sturdy (if not a generation old) and the floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of light. Each comes with air-conditioning. The hotel has several bars and lounges (the International Grand Lounge is our pick), while a decent sized pool sits beneath the palm trees outside.
