About Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO)
One of the largest airports in the Bahamas, Grand Bahama International Airport is located near the city of Freeport. Our guide to the airport includes information on terminal facilities, public transport access and nearby accommodation options.
There is an information desk in the International Terminal.
From the centre of Freeport, take East Mall Drive or West Mall Drive north to The Mall and follow signs to the airport. Coming from the west, take Queens Highway and then the airport exit north of Freeport. From the east, head along Grand Bahama Highway before turning off at the airport exit to the north of Freeport.
Transfer between terminals:
The international and domestic terminals are within walking distance of each other.

Taxi:Taxis are available outside the terminal buildings, 24 hours a day. To order a taxi, call the Grand Bahama Taxi Union (tel: +1 242 352 7101) or Freeport Taxi (tel: +1 242 352 6666). Fares to local resorts range from US$15-20.
Shuttle:Some hotels and resorts provide shuttle services to Grand Bahama International Airport.

FPO is linked to other islands in the Bahamas with regular flights operated by Bahamasair (tel: +1 242 702 4140; www.bahamasair.com).
ATMs are available in both terminals.
Wi-Fi internet is not available at Grand Bahama International Airport within the main terminal complex, however internet access is available within the FBO building. There is an on-site post office at the airport.
There is a restaurant and bar in the International Terminal.
There are several shops at Grand Bahama International Airport, including duty-free outlets and gift shops.
Queries about lost luggage should be directed to the relevant airline or to the airport information desk.
There is an on-site medical emergency clinic. Pre-clearance immigration facilities are available to international passengers making onward journeys to the United States.
Conference and business:
There are no conference or business facilities within the main terminals, but there is a business centre in the FBO building. Business, event and conference services can be found at some major hotels on the island, including the nearby Grand Lucayan Resort (tel: +1 855 582 2926;www.grandlucayan.com). The nearest meeting room meanwhile is housed within the nearby Castaways Resort and Suites (tel: +1 242 352 6682; www.castaways-resort.com).
The terminal buildings are accessible to disabled travellers, including the presence of toilets for wheelchair users. Accessible taxis are available for transport to and from Grand Bahama International Airport.
There are parking spaces available in front of the terminals – these offer both short- and long-term rates.
