If you can't afford to get away for Easter, don't worry as we have found the best days out in the UK, from an Easter egg hunt in Leeds Castle to chocolate making in Kew Gardens.

Easter days out: Tatton Park See everything Tatton Park has to offer by partaking in its Alice in Wonderland Easter Festival. The festival has participants follow different characters through the mansion, gardens, farm and stable yard that make up the park, which is located just 20 minutes from Manchester. Stick around in the stable yard after the festival and enjoy locally produced food and drink at The Stable restaurant. There are also a number of retail outlets to peruse. Easter days out: Pendennis Castle [IMAGE 912056] Spend Easter at Pendennis Castle in Cornwall and participate in the egg hunt for a chance to win a real golden egg. The castle is famous for the interactive exhibition that allows visitors to experience the sights and sounds of battle, as well as relive an enemy attack on an observation post. If you’re looking for a more relaxing holiday, visit the castle’s tearoom or experience the views of the surrounding area by exploring the ground of this hilltop castle. Easter days out: Kew Gardens [IMAGE 912058] Don’t miss the sight of more than five million flowers in bloom that makes up the biggest display of colour in the country. Within the gardens, west London, visitors can participate in an egg hunt, arts and crafts and chocolate making. For a bird’s-eye view of the festivities, you can climb 18m (59ft) up to the Xstrata Treetop Walkway and move through the canopy. Walk inside of the Palm House and experience a refreshing tropical rainforest environment. Easter days out: Leeds Castle [IMAGE 912060] Travel to Kent and celebrate Easter in the midst of 202 hectares (500 acres) of stunning parkland. A trail will lead visitors through the grounds to the Bunny Burrow where an Easter egg is to be collected. With egg in hand, head to the Leeds Castle maze and discover the underworld grotto. After exiting the maze, participate in the festive craft activities set up nearby. If you’re looking for a little more exciting holiday, ride the zip lines running above the castle’s ground. Easter days out: Erddig [IMAGE 912062] Make your way to Erddig, in northern Wales, for an eggstravagant Easter. Egg hunts are organized within the property’s gardens. See everything Erddig has to offer by taking a walk, bicycle or carriage ride through the property, which includes a joiners’ shop, sawmill and set of stables. The house’s impeccable interior is just as impressive. A number of servants’ portraits, fine furniture, as well as textiles and wallpaper all add to the charm.
