Driving directions:

From central Nassau, head west on Tonique Williams-Darling Highway and continue west onto John F Kennedy Drive. This road leads directly to the airport terminals. The total drive time from Nassau to the airport is approximately 15 minutes.

Public transport road:

Coach:A number of pre-arranged tour buses operate from the airport, including Bahamas Experience Tours (tel: +1 242 356 2985; www.bahamasexperiencetours.com) and Dan Knowles Tours (tel: +1 242 393 2220; www.danknowles.com). Some major hotels on the island provide courtesy shuttle buses to guests.

Taxi:Taxis are the only form of public transport to serve Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport. Fares are charged on a zonal basis and start at around US$27 to central Nassau, with the journey time being approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm with the driver whether your ride is flat rate or metered before entering the vehicle.

Both terminals have ATMs offering either US or Bahamian Dollars. Additionally, there is a bank in the International Arrivals Terminal.

Food:

There is a choice of several bars, fast-food outlets and café/restaurants at Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport. These are mainly located within the food court in the US Departures Terminal.

Shopping:

Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport houses shops selling music, clothes and souvenirs. There is also a newsagent. Duty-free shopping is available in the US Departures Terminal.

Luggage:
