Delaware Shopping and nightlife

Shopping in Delaware

In Wilmington, make a beeline for the giant Christiana Mall, located on the I-95, for the best of Delaware's tax-free shopping. There are plenty of wineries in the town, while the Brandywine Valley area is filled with local crafts, antiques and collectibles. The Riverfront Market, South Market Street, and Chandler's Wharf are also popular with shoppers.
Rehoboth Beach is home to antique shops, boutique stores, and outlet malls, mostly found downtown or on the outskirts of town on Route 1. In New Castle, Delaware Street is a hotbed for antiques and also has gift stores.

Nightlife in Delaware

Wilmington's riverfront area is the place to go for nightlife, live music and entertainment. In the summer, Dravo Plaza also buzzes with outdoor entertainment from jazz and blues bands.

Dewey Beach is a small east coast beach resort that heaves during the summer, as party-goers gather to enjoy it's lively nightlife scene. Check out the Bottle Cork, Highway One, established in 1936; the Rusty Rudder, Dickinson Street, and Northbeach, McKinley Street, for relaxed beachfront drinking.
