ECOfiesta celebrates sustainable living in Tropical North Queensland with a celebration that includes live music, art, food, and fashion at Cairns’ premier waterfront venue. Dozens of stalls form an expo of green-tech and sustainable living solutions, with interactive workshops geared for children and families as well.

Cairns Show

The Cairns Show is three days of fun-packed entertainment as well as a showcase for local businesses. It is the largest regional show in Australia and, although historically its themes were based in agriculture, pastoral life and mining, it has now expanded to include a variety of entertainment. The main arena plays host to extreme sports displays, fireworks, and the Queensland pole climbing competition as well as the wood chopping championships. The Heritage Park has displays of living history, a working blacksmith, a chainsaw sculpture, sideshows, and a fun park that provide entertainment for all.

Cairns Festival

Held over a 10-day period, Festival Cairns features a packed programme of creative, cultural and sporting events. First held in 2002, it has quickly established itself as one of North Queensland's best-loved events. The city becomes a stage of fun and festivities with a mixture of small- and large-scale events taking place in various venues throughout Cairns. Events include food and wine exhibitions, markets, comedy shows, live music performances by guest artists and multicultural and community celebrations that showcase the region's diverse talents. It is also an opportunity to develop the region's creative and cultural industries through workshops, forums and industry development seminars.
