Vienna International Airport Guide (VIE)

The major new Skylink terminal redevelopment is due for final completion in 2012.
Information desks can be found in the Terminal 2 and at the bus station. The airport has a 24-hour telephone information service (tel: (01) 7007 22233).
Both terminals are housed in one building and are within walking distance of each other.
The best route to the airport is the A4 Airport Motorway. The motorway exit marked Flughafen (Airport) leads directly to the terminal. The B9 road is an alternative main route.
Public Transport
Rail: The City Airport Train (tel: (01) 25250; www.cityairporttrain.com) runs to the City Air Terminal at Wien Mitte (journey time: 16 minutes). The S-Bahn (overground train) (tel: (05) 1717; www.oebb.at) connects the airport to Wien Mitte and Wien Nord railway stations (journey time: 25 minutes); it provides connections to the Vienna U-Bahn (underground rail) system.
Bus: Vienna Airport Lines buses (tel: (05) 1717; www.oebb.at) go to Wien Mitte (journey time: 20 minutes), Südbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations and to Wien Schwedenplatz and the UNO-City.
Coach: Services are available to Bratislava (Slovakia) and Budapest (Hungary).
Taxis: Taxis to the city leave from outside the Arrivals hall. Taxis and minibuses are offered by Airport Service Wien (tel: (676) 351 6420; www.airportservice.at).
Terminal facilities
Erste Bank has branches in the Departures hall. ATMs and bureau de change facilities are available throughout. There are two post offices as well. Wireless Internet access is available in both terminals.
The airport has numerous cafés, snack bars, restaurants and bars, both landside and airside.
There are more than 70 shops offering a wide variety of giftware, designer clothing and food, including duty-free for those travelling outside the European Union.
Porters (tel: (01) 7007 33140/1) are available on request at a small charge. Luggage trolleys are also available. There is a 24-hour left-luggage facility in the Arrivals area; and safety deposit boxes. There is also a lost property service (tel: (01) 7007 29360).
There is a 24-hour medical centre and a pharmacy.
Airport facilities
The VIP & Business Services (tel: (01) 7007 23300/400) can organise events and press conferences as well as provide office services and room hire for meetings and conferences. The airport also has a special VIP Terminal and a Priority Terminal to the west of the standard airport terminals. There are 10 different executive lounges at the airport. The NH Vienna Airport hotel (tel: (01) 701 510; www.nh-hotels.com) also offers conference facilities.
There are disabled toilets, lifts, telephones and Internet connections accessible to wheelchair users. Wheelchairs can be provided at the airport; assistance can be requested prior to arrival via the airport's website. Disabled parking spaces are available in Car Parks 1, 3, 4 and C, with good access to the terminals.
There are five car parks with space for 22,000 vehicles in total, with short-term and long-term options. Most car parks are linked to the terminals by a covered walkway.
Avis, Budget, Easymotion, Europcar, Hertz, Megadrive, Sixt and Union Car are represented at the airport.
