Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Guide (CAN)
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is located 28km (17 miles) north of Guangzhou city centre. It straddles the border of the northern Renhe Town in the district of Baiyun and Xinhua Town in the district of Huadu.

A planned third runway is expected to be completed by 2013. A new subway line connecting the city and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is also under construction. There are also plans for a second terminal and new car parking facilities.
There are several information desks (tel: (020) 8613 7273), both on the first and the third floors of the terminal building. English is spoken by information officers.
A new six-lane expressway connects the airport directly with the city. Driving either way is straightforward as both the city and the airport are well signposted.
Public Transport
Bus: Frequent Airport Express bus routes (tel: (020) 8612 2102) link Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport with central Guangzhou (journey time: 60 minutes; fare ¥25) and other destinations in the Pearl River Delta region. Bus services depart from immediately outside the arrivals areas.
Taxi: Fixed-fare taxis are available outside the arrivals areas. The journey time to central Guangzhou is 30-60 minutes and fares average around ¥120.
Terminal facilities
ATMs, a bank, and a foreign currency exchange service are all located in the terminal building.
There are two post offices in the terminal building. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal.
There are several cafés and restaurants at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, offering both Chinese and Western options. These eateries can be found in both the arrivals and the departures areas.
There is a good range of shops at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. In addition to the duty-free shops, there are retailers selling electrical appliances, clothes, books, jewellery, cosmetics, leather items, local craft items and wine and cigarettes. There is also a convenience store in the terminal building.
There are left luggage facilities on the first and third levels in the terminal building. A lost and found office is located in the departure hall on the third floor. For luggage inquiries, call: (020) 3606 6763 or 6790.
There are several children's play rooms in the departure hall and a baby changing room in the arrivals hall. The terminal first aid station (tel: (020) 3606 2664 or 8612 2926, 24 hours) is located in the arrivals hall on the first floor.
Airport facilities
There are business centres with fax machines, printers, computers and copy machines on the first and third levels of the terminal building. Meeting and conference facilities are offered at the nearby Pullman Hotel (tel: (020) 3606 8866; www.pullmanhotels.com).
There are toilets for disabled people, as well as lifts in the terminal building.
There are two car parks at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, an outdoor parking area and a large, covered car park. Both short-term and long-term parking is available. In addition, there are several smaller VIP car parks.
Self-drive cars are available, although most visitors to China opt to hire a car with a driver (often from their hotel).
Airport hotels
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport’s official hotel, the 460-room Pullman Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is located about five minutes' walk from the terminal. It offers all the amenities one would expect of a large international hotel, plus golf and other sporting facilities.
