Keflavik International Airport Guide (KEF)
Keflavík International Airport is located on the Reykjanes peninsula, just a short drive from the town of Keflavík (Reykjanesbaer) and 50km (31 miles) southwest of the capital, Reykjavik.

Keflavík International Airport is clearly signposted from Reykjavik.
Public Transport
Bus: Flybus (tel: 562 1011; www.flybus.is) and Gray Line (tel: 540 1313; www.airportexpress.is) operate transfers to Reykjavik corresponding with all incoming flights. The buses leave 30-40 minutes after the arrival of each flight. The trip takes about 45 minutes. The Flybus also departs from the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavik to catch departing flights. Travellers should book ahead.
Taxi: Taxi services from Keflavík International Airport are operated by two companies, A-Stöðin (tel: 421 1212 or 520 1212; www.airporttaxi.is) and Hreyfill Bæjarleiði (tel: 421 4141; www.hreyfill.is).
Terminal facilities
Landsbankinn bank has two branches at Keflavík International Airport, one in front of the arrivals hall and the other in the departure hall; the latter provides bureau de change services. In addition, there are several ATMs in the terminal.
There are two post boxes in the terminal building. Wi-Fi access is available in all the principal waiting, restaurant and bar areas.
A bistro restaurant and several cafés and bars are located in the passenger terminal.
There are several duty-free shops at Keflavík International Airport, with a range of products on offer, including cosmetics, alcohol, confectionery, tobacco, books, magazines, jewellery, watches, and electrical products. There are also shops selling Icelandic crafts, woollen items, souvenirs and Icelandic food and drink products.
For items lost in the arrivals or departures hall, contact the Lost and Found Office (tel: 420 1808), which is run by airport police. For items lost or found during travel, contact the airline concerned.
The Icelandair (tel: 425 0220) travel agency is located in the departure hall.
Airport facilities
There is a business lounge on the second level of the terminal.
Accessibility is good at Keflavík International Airport. There are adapted toilets and lifts for wheelchair users. Wheelchair assistance is available with notice of at least 48 hours (tel: 425 6500).
There are short-term car parks on both sides of the terminal and a big long-term parking area a bit further away, although still within walking distance. Indoor car parking is offered by Bílahótel (tel: 421 5566; www.bilahotel.is).
Car hire companies at Keflavík International Airport include: Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz.
Airport hotels
Located in the town of Keflavík, a five-minute drive from Keflavík International Airport, Hotel Keflavík offers a restaurant, bar, gym and a sauna. Conference and meeting rooms are available on request.
Hótel Keilir is situated in the main street of Keflavík, just five minutes by car from Keflavík International Airport. There is a bar on site.
