Fès enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with warm and dry summer.

Spring (March to May) is warm and sunny. With temperatures averaging 19°C (66°F) in May, this is a good time to visit Fès.

Summer (June to August) is hot and dry. The Festival of World Sacred Music, held either in May or June, often draws large crowds so plan in advance as accommodation may be booked out.

Autumn (September to November) is pleasant and a popular season to visit Fès. Coincide your trip with the Tissa Horse Festival. Often held in early October, this colourful spectacle sees locals demonstrating their horsemanship skills.

Winter (December to February) is cool with temperatures averaging 12°C (54°F) and the city has about 10 rainy days a month. Do note that chilly nights still require warm clothes.
