To enter Kazakhstan, a passport valid for six months on entry is required by nationals referred to in the chart above. Your passport should also have at least one blank page for your visa.

Visas

Nationals of Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and all EU countries can visit and stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 30 calendar days.

The full list of countries whose nationals can visit Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 30 days are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States of America.

Nationals not mentioned here are advised to check with the nearest Kazakh Embassy for further information.

Visa Note

The host person or the hotel in which a foreigner is staying is responsible for notifying the guest's arrival in the country. Visitors are no longer responsible for this.

Types and Cost

Tourist visa: USD $60

Business visa: USD $80

Validity

From 30 to 90 days, depending on the type of visa issued.

Application to

Consulate (or consular section at embassy).

You can also apply online (www.vmp.gov.kz/en/services/visa-service) if you:
• Have a valid invitation number
• Arrive and exit at the international airports of Nur-Sultan or Almaty
• Do not have accompanying children

Working days

Expect five working days.

Extension of stay

You may only extend your visa if you have documents showing a need for you to remain longer in Kazakhstan. In this case, you can extend visas at local offices affiliated to the Ministry of Interior.
