Passports
To enter Kazakhstan, a passport valid for six months on entry or where applicable for three months beyond the visa expiry date is required by nationals referred to in the chart above.

If you arrive via land or sea, you may need to register with the local authorities in Kazakhstan; check with the embassy before you travel.
Visas
Visas are required by all nationals referred to in the chart above except:
1. Nationals of Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, all EU-countries and the USA, who may travel to Kazakhstan without visas for touristic, business and private stays up to 30 days (total duration of no more than 90 days in any 180-day period). For longer stays, you must obtain a visa from the embassy.
Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements for Kazakhstan.
Visa Note
Nationals referred to in the chart above do not require an official letter of invitation for visits of up to 30 days; other nationals should check with the embassy, as this may be a requirement and visas may be refused without the official letter.
Types and Cost
Transit visa: £15 (single-entry).
Tourist visa: £50 (single-entry).
Business visa: £75 (single-entry); £170 (multiple-entry up to one year); £330 (multiple-entry up to two years).
E-tourist-visa: $60.
E-business-visa: $80.
Validity
Transit visa: five days; tourist/business visas: 30 days per stay.

E-visas (www.vmp.gov.kz/en/services/visa-service) are available under certain conditions: Travelers have a valid invitation from Kazakhstan and an invitation number, they arrive and exit at the international airports of Nur-Sultan and Almaty and they do not accompany children.

Visa processing usually takes five days.
E-visa: 5 working days.
Compulsary Registration
All foreigners entering Kazakhstan without a visa must register with the migration police or migration service (www.vmp.gov.kz/en/services/notice-service) within 3 days. The inviting party (e.g. hotel, private individual, company, etc.) must register.
Extension of stay
You may only extend your visa if you have documents showing a need for you to remain longer in Kazakhstan. In this case, you can extend visas at local offices affiliated to the Ministry of Interior.
