Car Hire

Available at the island's only shopping mall, the Breadline Plaza. However driving may be difficult as Saba's main road is steep and driving conditions are often dangerous.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available on Saba and are the most popular way for travellers to get around aside from walking. Fares are fixed at government approved rates; there is a 25% increase for journeys after 9pm.

Documentation

A national driving licence is acceptable.

Urban travel

There is no public transport on the island. Walking, hitching and taxis are the most popular options. Hitchhiking is common on Saba but you should still exercise caution. If walking, bear in mind that distances may not be far, but it usually involves walking up and down steep inclines, so it's important to wear appropriate footwear.
