Christmas Market

The month-long Christmas Market in Lille is the largest in Northern France and has been a tradition for centuries.

Lille 3000

Following on from the success of Lille's crowning as European Capital of Culture in 2004, the city has pledged to continue with a biennial celebration of cultural events. Every two years the festival focuses on a particular region or country from around the world and delivers a year-long programme of events dedicated to that place. Events include special film screenings, art exhibitions, political awareness debates, theatre, music, comedy, dance and drama.
