Airport news:

Though still in existence, both Terminals 1 and 2 have now both closed, leaving only Terminal 3, the Main Terminal, currently in operation.

Information:

There is an information desk in the centre of concourse C. Airport Ambassadors are on hand in the baggage claim area and in concourse B. Information booths are situated in concourses A and C.

Driving directions:

From central Cincinnati, head south on Interstates 71 or 75, across the Ohio River, and turn right onto exit 185. From here, follow Interstate 275 Circle Freeway westwards before turning right at exit 4 onto SR212. The terminal and parking facilities are well signposted from this point.

Transfer between terminals:

Only one of the three terminal buildings is currently in use for scheduled services. An underground train links the terminal with the two satellite concourses.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Transportation information desks are located in the baggage reclaim area.

Bus:TANK public bus 2X (tel: +1 859 331 8265; www.tankbus.org) runs to central Cincinnati and Covington from outside the baggage reclaim area. The journey time to Cincinnati is around 35 minutes, and the fare is US$2.

Shuttle:The Airport Executive Shuttle (tel: +1 859 261 8841; www.executivetransportation.org) service runs to downtown Cincinnati and the Kentucky side of the Ohio River; stops en route can be arranged on request. Reservations should be made 24 hours in advance at the desks in baggage reclaim, although a walk-up service is also available. The fare to central Cincinnati is around US$22.

Taxi:Taxis (tel: +1 859 767 3260) operate 24 hours a day at a set fee for journeys into Cincinnati. There is a taxi desk in baggage claim. Fares to Cincinnati start at US$34. Lyft and Über are also authorised to operate at the airport.

There are plenty of ATMs, banks and bureau de change facilities throughout Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Food:

Numerous restaurants, bars, delicatessens and other food outlets are located throughout the terminal buildings. 

Shopping:

There are newsagents, gift shops, duty-free outlets for international passengers and a wide variety of other shops in the terminal, with the greatest concentration in concourse B. Specialist outlets include a golf shop and a jeweller selling Native American-inspired items.

Luggage:

Luggage trolleys are available throughout Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. For lost and found items, contact the Transport Security Administration (tel: +1 859 767 4885), or complete the required website form.

Other:

Emergency paramedic services are available and there is a children's play area housed within the terminal.

Conference and business:

There are several Laptop Lane business centres with workstations, internet access, telephones and fax machines. The on-site Doubletree Hotel (tel: +1 859 371 6166; doubletree3.hilton.com) has a ballroom and nine smaller meeting/conference rooms for hire.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, in the ticketing, baggage reclaim and gate areas. Public telephones are also offered at various points within the terminal.

Disabled facilities:

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is fully accessible for travellers with disabilities; facilities include text telephones, visual paging and designated parking spaces. Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline before travelling.

Car parking:

There are two main car parks at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Short and long-term rates are available at the AutoPort Garage, which has direct access to the terminal (the first 30 minutes are free). Economy long-term parking is available at a remote outdoor car park, serviced by a 24-hour free shuttle bus connecting to the terminal.

Car hire companies at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport include: Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. Courtesy telephones are located near the exits in the baggage reclaim areas for car hire reservations. Shuttles run to the car hire company locations.
