Best time to visit

Warm and sunny from May to October, spectacular fall foliage, followed by long, cold winters with abundant snowfall from December to April. Mount Washington, at 1,916m (6,288ft) above sea level, is home to some of the worst weather in the world.

Required clothing

Heavyweight clothing from November to March/April. Cottons and linens during the summer months.
