About Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP)

The airport information centre is located in the public arrivals area of the terminal building.
From the west (New York City), take the Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) and turn off at exit 57 southwards. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights (Veterans Memorial/454) and travel 8km (5 miles) to Johnson Avenue, the turn-off for the airport.
From the east (The Hamptons), take exit 50A northwards on Sunrise Highway onto Johnson Avenue, and follow signs to Long Island MacArthur Airport.

Long Island MacArthur Airport is located in Ronkonkoma on Long Island, some 80km (50 miles) northeast of Manhattan.

Public transport road:
Bus: Suffolk County Transportation's (tel: (631) 853 5200; sct-bus.org) bus S57 provides hourly services with local connections. A single fare is US$2.
Coach: Hampton Jitney (tel: (631) 283 4600; www.hamptonjitney.com) offers coach transport to eastern Long Island and Manhattan. A short taxi ride is required between the Hampton Jitney stop and the airport terminal. Reservations are required, and the single fare to Manhattan is US$30.
Taxi: Village Taxi (tel: (631) 588 1055; villagetaxironk.com) services operate from outside the terminal to various Long Island destinations on a fixed fare basis.
Public transport rail:
The Long Island Railroad (tel: 511; www.mta.info/lirr) station in Ronkonkoma offers connections to/from various destinations in the area, including Manhattan. The journey time from the station to Penn Station in New York City is 80 minutes and the fare is US$12.75 (off-peak) or US$17.50 (peak).
Ronkonkoma Station is linked to Long Island MacArthur Airport by a payable shuttle service, which takes 10 minutes.
Public transport water:
Ferry: Ferries traversing across Long Island Sound are provided by Cross Sound Ferry (tel: (631) 323 2525; www.longislandferry.com) and Port Jefferson-Bridgeport Ferry (tel: (631) 473 0286; www.88844ferry.com).
ATMs are located in the terminal building, both pre- and post-security.
A pub and a food court featuring a selection of restaurants can be found in the Southwest Airlines concourse.
There is a gift shop and news stand in the main terminal area and several shops in the Southwest Airlines concourse. Duty-free shopping is not available.
A lost and found service (tel: (631) 467 3315) is in operation at Long Island MacArthur Airport to deal with any luggage enquiries.
Other facilities at Long Island MacArthur Airport include a 'pet relief' area for those travelling with animals, a shoeshine kiosk and baby changing facilities.
Conference and business:

Designated parking spaces are located close to the terminal. Disabled travellers should contact their airline ahead of arrival if special arrangements are required.
There is a short-term car park opposite the terminal, long-term parking behind this area and a more remote long-term economy car park that is linked to the terminal by a free shuttle service.
