Driving directions:

From central Madison, head west on University Avenue and turn left onto East Johnson Street. After about 1.5km (1 mile), turn left onto Pennsylvania Avenue and continue on Packers Avenue (Highway 113) until the airport exit (International Lane) to the right.

From Milwaukee, travel west along Interstate 94 until the Badger Interchange and then merge onto Aberg Avenue (Highway 30). Then, head north along Aberg Avenue, turn off at Packers Avenue (Highway 113) and take the airport exit.

Public transport road:

Bus:Madison Metro Transit System (tel: +1 608 266 4466; www.mymetrobus.com) bus 20 runs daily from the North Transfer Point to Dane County Regional Airport (journey time: 10 minutes; fare: US$2). Buses leave from outside entrance 6.

Shuttle: Numerous hotels in the area offer courtesy shuttle services to and from the airport. Full details of providers are outlined on the airport’s website.

Taxis depart from outside door 7 at the north end of the baggage claim. Fares to central Madison start at around US$28.

ATMs can be found at various points within the terminal building.

Food:

There is a choice of snack bars, cafés, fast-food outlets and a restaurant on the upper level of the terminal. An additional café is located in the baggage claim area on the lower level.

Shopping:

There is a gift shop (which also sells snacks) on the ground level of the airport before security. On the upper level (post-security), there is a newsagent at gate 5 and a retailer selling gifts and local food products at gate 7.

Luggage:

A porter service is available to assist with luggage; porters are self-employed and rely on tips for their income. In addition, luggage trolleys are available on the lower level. For lost items, contact the Airport Lost and Found Office (tel: +1 608 661 4809). Please note: There are no left-luggage lockers anywhere at the airport.

Other:

The 18-hole public Bridges Golf Course is located within the airport's property, just off International Lane. Other terminal facilities include family lounges, mother/baby areas, massage services and pet therapy – with dogs in the terminal used to calm nervous flyers.

A business centre is located on the terminal's upper level with fax facilities, internet access and telephones. Disabled facilities:

All facilities at Dane County Regional Airport are accessible to disabled travellers. Disabled parking is available in all car parks, with lifts located on the terminal side of each level of the multistorey car park. In-terminal facilities include lifts, TDD telephones and toilets.

Passengers requiring wheelchairs or special assistance should notify their airline at the time of booking their ticket, and also contact the airport ahead of arrival.

Car parking:

The airport's parking facilities consists of a multistorey car park (short and long-term rates) and a short-term surface car park near the terminal. There is also an economy car park approximately 10 minutes by foot from the terminal, and a 'cellphone' waiting area for meeters and greeters. Car rental:

Car hire companies at Dane County Regional Airport include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National. Desks for these operators are located opposite the baggage claim area. Hire car drop off areas can be found on the ground level of the multistorey car park, opposite the terminal.
