Application to
Kiribati does not operate a fully online eVisa system. Visa applications are handled directly by the Kiribati Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration. Applicants are typically required to consult the Ministry's official website to obtain the relevant application forms.
Completed visa applications are usually submitted by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, commonly via the official visa email address. Supporting documents include a copy of the applicant's passport, passport photographs, proof of travel arrangements, and evidence of sufficient funds. Depending on the visa type and length of stay, additional documents such as medical reports, police clearance certificates or sponsorship letters may be requested.
Visa fees, where applicable, are payable as instructed by Kiribati immigration authorities and may need to be paid by bank transfer or other specified method.
Working days
For Kiribati, visa processing times vary depending on the type of visa, completeness of the application and current workload at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration. In general, visitor visa applications are processed within approximately 5 to 15 working days from the date all required documents are received.
