Bus: Bus 1001 runs between Salvador city centre and Salvador Bahia International Airport. The journey is about one and a half hours. The bus terminal is opposite the terminal building, next to the airport parking garage.

Taxi: Travellers will find both metered regular taxis and executive taxis with predetermined rates readily available outside the Arrivals hall, the latter typically offering a more upscale service.

Public transport rail:

The nearest metro station, Estação Aeroporto - CCR Metrô Bahia, is about 2km (1.25 miles) from Salvador Bahia International Airport. A complimentary shuttle service operates between the metro station and the airport terminal, with daily hours running from 0500 to midnight.
