Driving directions:

From central Bogotá, Avenida Calle 26 / Avenida El Dorado runs directly to the airport, which is clearly signposted. The total drive time from central Bogotá to the airport is approximately 20 minutes.

Transfer between terminals:

Free shuttle buses operate between the main domestic and international terminals (which are housed in the same building) and the Puente Aéreo Terminal, along with other areas of the airport complex. Shuttle buses run every 20 minutes between 0500 to 2300.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Local buses (tel: +57 1 220 3000; www.sitp.gov.co) operate regularly between the airport and the city centre. Journey time is around 35-40 minutes, and they are identified by ‘Aeropuerto’ on the destination board. Fares are approximately US $7.

Taxi: Taxis are available outside both terminals 24 hours a day. The fare into Bogotá starts at around US$10-15, with trips taking around 25 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Taxi desks are located in arrivals, and the fare is confirmed on a printed voucher. For safety reasons, do not use any taxi service other than the official yellow and white taxis.

Terminal facilities

Money:

ATMs and bureau de change desks are situated in various locations in all terminals.

Food:

There is a central food court in both the main El Dorado terminal complex and in Puente Aéreo, while a selection of cafés can be found airside in both terminals.

Shopping:

Duty-free is available in the international departures area, while a few other shops offer goods including local crafts.

Luggage:

Left-luggage is available in the main terminal on floor 1. Trolleys are US$2 for deposit, and the deposit is returned when the cart is returned.  The lost and found office can be contacted on +57 1 439 7070, ext. 5112

Other:

There are 24/7 medical facilities available in the new terminal. There is also a small chapel in terminal 1.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

A selection of VIP lounges is available. There are no meeting rooms at the airport, but comprehensive facilities are offered at the Hotel Habitel (tel: +57 1 419 9999; www.hotelhabitel.com) just 600m (1,970ft) from the terminals.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available throughout El Dorado International Airport. Public telephones are also provided within the terminals.

Disabled facilities:

The airport is fully wheelchair accessible and disabled parking spaces are available close to the terminals. Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline in advance of travel.

Car parking:

Both short- and long-term parking is available outside both terminals. Parking information can be obtained from the airport parking office (tel: +57 317 893 5499).

Car rental:

A central car hire desk is situated in the main public hall of the El Dorado terminal. International operators like Avis, Budget, Flash, Hertz and several local operators are represented at the airport.
