Driving directions: 

From central Amman, take Route 15 to the south. The airport exit is shortly before the town of Al Jizah.

Public Transport

Public transport road: 

Bus: There is a 24-hour bus service (tel: (06) 592 7665; www.ltrc.gov.jo - currently Arabic only) between the airport and central Amman, running every 30 minutes from 0700-2200, and every hour between 2200 and 0700. Journey time is approx. 45 minutes, and the fare starts from JOD1.5, with a small extra charge for luggage.

Taxi: Taxis (tel: (06) 445 1302) are available outside Arrivals. The journey time to central Amman is around 30 minutes, and the fare around JOD15.

Terminal facilities

Money: 

Banks, bureaux de change and ATMs are available both air- and land-side in both terminals. Paid-for Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminals, as are public telephones.

Food: 

There is a range of cafés, fast food outlets and restaurants both air- and land-side.

Shopping: 

The airport offers extensive duty free shopping, together with a selection of gift and souvenir shops, specialist food outlets and bookshops.

Luggage: 

Porter service, lost property and left-luggage facilities are available.

Other: 

There is a 24-hour medical centre.

Airport facilities

Conference and business: 

VIP lounge facilities offering business services are available in both terminals. Conference and meetings facilities are available at the on-site Golden Tulip Amman Airport Hotel (tel: (06) 445 1000; www.goldentulipairportamman.com).

Disabled facilities: 

Designated disabled parking facilities are available. The airport is generally wheelchair accessible, with special toilets, ramps and lifts. Assistance personnel are available on request.

Car parking: 

There are six car parks at the airport, accommodating nearly 1,400 vehicles. Short- and long-term parking is available.

Car rental: 

Budget and Europcar are represented at the airport, along with a number of local operators. Car rental counters are situated in the Arrivals area.

Airport hotels

There is one hotel on the airport site, a short distance from the terminals. Alternative accommodation can be found in Amman itself – hotel booking assistance is available at the airport.

Golden Tulip Amman Airport Hotel

The 307-room Golden Tulip Amman Airport Hotel is close to the terminals at Amman Queen Alia International Airport. In addition to indoor and outdoor restaurant and bar facilities, it offers a fitness suite, pool, meeting rooms and business services. It operates a free shuttle to and from the airport terminals.
