Dubrovnik Airport Guide (DBV)
Dubrovnik Airport is located 21km (13 miles) to the southeast of Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik Airport, also sometimes referred to as Čilipi Airport, is one of the busiest international air transport hubs in Croatia and is located a short distance from the country’s capital city. Our Dubrovnik Airport guide includes essential information for travellers, including details of terminal facilities, public transport routes and nearby hotels, as well as contact information.
A new terminal, which will be the largest in Croatia once operational, is currently under construction, with a predicted annual capacity of 3.5 million passengers. This is due for completion in 2019.
Driving to Dubrovnik Airport from Dubrovnik city centre (or vice versa) is easy. Just take the main motorway in this part of Croatia, the D8, and then follow the signs when approaching either the city or the airport. The journey takes around 25 minutes.
Bus: Public bus company Libertas Dubrovnik (tel: +385 800 1910; www.libertasdubrovnik.hr) operates bus services from Dubrovnik Airport. Not all buses go to Dubrovnik, some go only to Cavtat 5km (3 miles) away, but there are frequent bus departures from there to Dubrovnik. Bus stops are immediately outside the terminals.
Shuttle: Atlas shuttle coaches (tel: +385 91 2852404; www.atlas-croatia.com) depart for Dubrovnik Airport after the arrival of every scheduled incoming flight – and leave from the station in Gruž two hours before every outbound flight – the single fare is Kn40. The journey time to central Dubrovnik is around 30 minutes.
Taxi:Taxis are available on the kerb just outside Terminal Building B. Fares are published at the Taxi Information counter inside the terminal, where you can also find the taxi phone (tel: +385 2064 0100).
There are two bureaux de change – one in International Arrivals and one in International Departures – as well as a bank and a post office at Dubrovnik Airport.
Free Wi-Fi access is available in the terminal buildings for passengers, and there are two fixed internet kiosks.
A duty-free shop in the international departures area offers a good range of items including local produce, fashion and perfumes. There is also a newspaper and tobacco shop in the domestic departures area.
There is a parking lot with 200 parking places adjacent to the terminal building. Parking is free for the first 15 minutes.
Car hire companies represented at Dubrovnik Airport include: Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz and Sixt, along with local operators.
