Split Airport Guide (SPU)
Split Airport is located by the Adriatic coast, 6km (4 miles) from Trogir to the west and Kastela to the east and 25km (15.5 miles) from Split to the southeast.

Major renovations and enlargement of the airport’s facilities are currently under way, with a much larger terminal building expected to be in operation by 2014.
An information counter is located in the terminal. Tourist information services are situated in the arrivals area.
Driving to Split from the airport or vice versa is straightforward. Follow either the main road, D1, or the Adriatic coastal road, A1, and follow signs either to the airport or the city.
Public Transport
Bus: A shuttle bus from the airport to Split is organised by the Plesoprijevoz bus company (tel: (021) 203 119; www.plesoprijevoz.hr). Buses from the airport leave shortly after the arrival of incoming flights, while buses from Split to the airport leave 90 minutes before all scheduled flights. Local buses (bus 37 and bus 38) serve the airport every 20 minutes during the day. It is operated by Promet (tel: (021) 407 888; www.promet-split.hr).
Taxi: Taxis (tel: (021) 895 237) are available outside the terminal building at all times during airport operating hours.
Ferry: Buses leave from the Harbour Office Terminal (Terminal lučke kapetanije) just 100m (328ft) from the seaport and the main bus and train stations. Ferries operate between the port and Split itself, from where sea connections link with various Dalmatian islands.
Terminal facilities
There is a bank offering currency exchange services on the ground floor of the passenger terminal, along with ATMs.
There is a post office on the ground floor. Internet access is available in the main public concourse.
A coffee bar is located in the international passengers lounge, and there is a restaurant and lounge just outside the international area.
A mini market is located on the terminal ground floor, which offers a choice of Croatian souvenirs and gifts, as well as newspapers and tobacco. There is also a duty-free shop at the airport, which sells a wide range of products, including alcohol, tobacco, perfumes, sweets, watches, sunglasses, leather goods, toys and jewellery.
There are lost and found counters in the arrivals hall (tel: (021) 203 218) or (021) 203 423).
A first aid room is located in the basement of the terminal building.
Airport facilities
There is a VIP/business lounge on the ground floor.
There are toilets and support facilities for disabled people at the airport. The car park has five spaces designated for disabled passengers.
The airport car park is located directly opposite the terminal building and provides around 500 car spaces. Parking for the first 15 minutes is free of charge.
Car hire companies at the airport include Adex, Adriaplus/Europcar, Anterra/Hertz, Automatic Commerce, Dicar/Budget, Dignitas/Alamo-National, Sixt, Subrosa/Dollar-Thrifty and Uni Rent. Desks are located in the main concourse.
Airport hotels
Hotel Concordia is located on the island of Trogir near Split and offers on-site dining options.
Hotel Kastel 1700 is located in the centre of Split just a short distance from Split Airport. The hotel offers an airport pick-up service, free Wi-Fi Internet access and an on-site restaurant.
Hotel Trogirski dvori is a small family-run hotel situated only 1km (0.6 miles) from the centre of Trogir and 3km (2 miles) from Split airport. It is close to a beach and a nature reserve and has a restaurant.
