About Split Airport (SPU)
Also known as Resnik Airport, Split Airport is the main airport serving the city of Split in southern Croatia. Our Split Airport guide includes essential information relating to terminal services, public transportation and nearby accommodation options.
Major renovations and enlargement of the airport's facilities are currently under way, with a much larger terminal building expected to be in full operation by 2016.
An information counter is located within the terminal (tel: +385 21 203 506). Tourist information services are situated in the arrivals area.
Driving to central Split from the airport is very straightforward. Simply head eastbound on highway 8 and follow the signs to the city. Alternatively you could take the more scenic route along the 409 coastal road.

Split Airport is located along the Adriatic coast, 6km (4 miles) from Trogir to the west and Kaštela to the east. The airport is 25km (15.5 miles) from Split to the southeast.

Public transport road:
Bus:Local buses (bus 37 and bus 38) serve the airport every 20 minutes during the day. Services are operated by Promet (tel: +385 21 407 888; www.promet-split.hr). Journey time into Split is roughly 40 minutes and the fare is approximately €3.
Shuttle:A shuttle bus from the airport to Split is organised by the Plesoprijevoz bus company (tel: +385 21 203 119; www.plesoprijevoz.hr). Buses from the airport leave shortly after the arrival of incoming flights, while buses from Split to the airport leave 90 minutes before all scheduled flights.
Taxi:Taxis (tel: +385 21 895 237) are available outside the terminal building at all times during airport operating hours. The fare into Split starts at around €35 and the trip takes about 30 minutes.
Public transport water:
Ferry:Buses leave from the Harbour Office Terminal (Terminal lučke kapetanije) just 100m (328ft) from the seaport and the main bus and train stations. Ferries operate between the port and Split itself; from here sea connections link with various Dalmatian islands.
There is a bank offering currency exchange services on the ground floor of the passenger terminal. ATMs are also available.
A coffee bar is located in the international passengers lounge and there is a restaurant and café just outside the international area.
The Mini Market shop is located on the ground floor. This sells a range of Croatian souvenirs and gifts, as well as newspapers and tobacco. There is also a duty-free shop at the airport (for non-EU passengers), which offers a wide range of products including: alcohol, tobacco, perfumes, sweets, watches, sunglasses, leather goods, toys and jewellery.
There are lost and found counters in the arrivals hall (tel: +385 21 203 218 or +385 21 203 423). These are manned from 0600-2200 daily.
A first aid room is located in the basement of the terminal building.
Conference and business:
There is a VIP/business lounge in the departures area on the ground floor. Meetings space is available at the nearby Hotel Trogirski Dvori (tel: +385 21 885 444; www.hotel-trogirskidvori.com).
There are adapted toilets and support facilities for disabled people at Split Airport. The car park has a number of spaces designated for disabled passengers.
The airport car park is located directly opposite the terminal building and provides space for around 500 cars. Parking for the first 15 minutes is free of charge.
Car hire companies at Split Airport include: Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National, Sixt and a number of local operators. Car hire desks are located in the main concourse.
