A new third terminal opened in the spring of 2010 to serve the needs of low-cost carriers.
Information desks (tel: 05 5634 5050) are located in both Terminals A and B, on the Arrivals level.
The airport can be accessed from junctions 11a or 11b off the ring road surrounding Bordeaux.
Public Transport
Bus: Jet'Bus operates a service from Bordeaux city centre to the airport (journey time: 40 minutes). Buses depart every 30-45 minutes. Further information is available via the airport's information desks (tel: 05 5634 5050). There is also a local bus service, Liane 1, which serves the tram station in Mérignac and then on to the city centre.
Taxi: More than 50 taxis are always available at the airport. Companies include Taxis de Mérignac (tel: 05 5697 1127), Taxis Girondins (tel: 05 5680 7037) and Taxis Télé (tel: 05 5696 0034).
Terminal facilities
There is a bank on the Departures level of Terminal B. A bureau de change is also available. ATMs are located in Terminal B. There is a post office on the Departures level of Terminal A.
The airport also has a number of bars and restaurants in all terminals.
Shops can be found in all three terminals, and include newsagents, a gift shop and a perfumery. There is also a duty-free shop in the International Departure area of Terminal A and in the new Billi Terminal.
A lost property service is located on the Departures level of Terminal B (tel: 05 5634 5011); for items left on board planes, passengers should contact their airline.
Childcare equipment can be reserved in advance (tel: 05 5692 9784) and picked up at the information desk in Terminal B.
Airport facilities
Conference rooms and meeting rooms are available in all major hotels close to the airport. There are photocopying facilities in the Departures area of Terminal A.
Wheelchairs are available from individual airlines, which must be informed prior to travel. Lifts and disabled toilets are located throughout the airport, and there are spaces reserved for disabled drivers in all car parks.
The airport has four car parks, P0, P1, P2 and the long-term P4. It also has a car park reserved for car hire pick-up and drop-off. Car park P0 is patrolled and is nearest the terminal. PR is a short-term car park close to the terminal, with free parking for the first 30 minutes. P1 and P2 are public car parks; P2 is a medium-term car park. Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, and Sixt have offices in the connecting wing between Terminals A and B.
Airport hotels
Comfort Hotel Bordeaux Merignac is located close to Bordeaux Airport and offers free transportation to/from the terminals. Among the available facilities are a billiard room and a restaurant.
Ibis Bordeaux Airport is located a short distance from the airport terminals. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi Internet, watersports and bicycle hire options.
The 137-room Novotel Bordeaux Airport is located within walking distance of Bordeaux Airport and provides a free shuttle service to/from the terminals. The hotels offers extensive business facilities, including seven meeting rooms, a café and a bar.
