Bordeaux Airport is situated 12km (7.5 miles) west of central Bordeaux in the Aquitaine region of southwest France.

Also known as Mérignac Airport, Bordeaux Airport is the main airport for the Gironde department, which is within the Aquitaine region of southwest France. Information desks (tel: 05 5634 5050) are located on the arrivals levels of Halls A and B.
The two main terminals (named Halls A and B) are situated in one complex. The low-cost Billi terminal is a short distance away, within walking distance.
Bordeaux Airport can be accessed from junctions 11a or 11b off the ring road surrounding Bordeaux.
Bus: Bordeaux Airport operates a 30 minutes direct bus from the airport to the Bordeaux Saint Jean Train Station, located in the city centre. The shuttle runs every day all year round from 0800 to 2300. One way tickets, that are purchasable on board the bus, are €7.20. There is also a local bus service, Liane 1 (tel: 05 5757 8888; www.infotbc.com), which serves the city centre via the tram station in Mérignac.
Taxi: Taxis, which are operated by a number of companies, are available from outside the terminals. Companies include: Taxis de Mérignac (tel: 05 5697 1127), Taxis Girondins (tel: 05 5680 7037) and Taxis Télé (tel: 05 5696 0034) – a full list of providers is available on the airport’s website. The fare to the city centre is generally around €30, but it is best to agree a rate with the driver in advance.
There is a bank on the departures level of Hall B and ATMs throughout. Bureaux de change kiosks are situated between Halls A and B and in the Billi terminal.
There is a post office on the departures level of Hall A. Free Wi-Fi internet access is widely available in the terminals.
Bordeaux Airport has a good selection of bars and restaurants in all terminals. These include a restaurant overlooking the runway in Hall A.
Shops can be found in each terminal; these include newsagents, gift shops, confectioners and a perfumery. There are also duty-free shops in the international departures area of Hall A and in the Billi terminal.
A lost property service is located on the departures level of Hall B (tel: 05 5634 5000). For items left on planes, passengers should contact their airline.
Conference rooms and meeting rooms are available in all major hotels close to the airport. There are photocopying facilities in the departures area of Hall A.
Wheelchairs are available from individual airlines, which must be informed prior to travel. Wheelchairs can also be rented from the airport directly (tel: 05 5634 5000). Lifts and disabled toilets are located throughout the airport, and there are spaces reserved for disabled drivers in all car parks.
Bordeaux Airport has four car parks: P0, P1, P2 and the long-term P4. The covered P0 car park is nearest the terminal and offers short-term rates. P1 and P2 are short- and medium-term car parks. Car hire companies: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Firefly, Hertz, Interrent, Sixt and T.T. Service have offices in the connecting wing between Halls A and B. The hire car parking area is immediately opposite the terminals.
