Chile Visa and Passport Requirements

To enter Chile, a passport valid for the duration of stay is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.
Visas are not required by the nationals referred to in the chart above for stays in Chile of up to 90 days. Nationals of Greece may only stay for up to 60 days without a visa.
1. Nationals from Australia must pay a US$117 reciprocal tax at the airport.
US nationals and Canadian nationals no longer need to pay a reciprocal tax.
Nationals not referred to in the chart above are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements.
Visa applicants must provide an invitation letter or hotel booking and show sufficient funds.

Visitors from Australia pay a reciprocal tax when entering Chile. Costs for travellers requiring single- or multiple-entry visas vary according to nationality; check with the consulate.
The validity of visas varies between one and 90 days, depending on the applicant's nationality.

Entry with children
Children under 18 who are leaving Chile alone, with only one parent, with friends or family, or with a group must obtain an official authorisation to travel from a Chilean notaria.
