Bergen Airport Guide (BGO)
Bergen Airport is situated at Flesland, 20km (12 miles) south of Bergen.

Major expansion and modernisation, aimed at significantly increasing capacity at Flesland, is being planned. The first phase is scheduled for completion during 2011.
There is an information office/service centre (tel: 6703 1555) in the terminal offering travel advice to passengers.
Driving from Bergen Airport into the centre of Bergen is straightforward. Head east on the R580/E39 and then follow the road north to 'Sentrum' (City Centre). The drive takes around 25 minutes (depending on traffic).
Public Transport
Bus: The bus journey to Bergen takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Airport Express Coach (tel: 177; www.flybussen.no) offers services from 0350 until the latest flight arrival, with buses every 15 minutes during peak periods. The buses drop passengers at the bus station and at main hotels in town. The one-way fare is Kr95. Buses 23, 56 and 57 also serve Bergen Airport.
Taxi: Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. Companies serving Bergen Airport include Bergen Taxi (tel: 07000), Norgestaxi (tel: 08000) and Taxi 1 (tel: 05501). The journey time is 30-40 minutes.
High-speed Flaggruten ferries (tel: 5523 8780; www.flaggruten.no) operate between Bergen and a number of coastal destinations in the region, as far afield as Stavanger. Bergen Minibuss Service (tel: 5599 8610; www.bergen-minibuss.no) runs scheduled links to the ferry terminal from Bergen Airport.
Terminal facilities
A bank, an ATM and automatic currency exchange machines are available in the terminal. Two tax refund offices are also situated in the terminal building.
Paid-for wireless internet access is available and internet terminals are located in the terminal building.
There are several cafés, bars and snack shops throughout the terminal, including a pub, a pizzeria and a fish restaurant.
There are several shops at Bergen Airport, including a duty-free shop and outlets selling newspapers and snacks.
Luggage lockers are available for hire from the information/service centre. The centre should also be contacted regarding lost or found items. A porter service is also available at Bergen Airport.
Travel agency VIA Travel is located near the main entrance. Baby changing facilities are available on all floors.
Airport facilities
There are no airline business lounges (only a comfort zone between the check-in area and security). The De 7 Fjell conference centre (tel: 5599 7400) has telephone and fax machines and five meeting rooms for up to 27 people. The airport's service centre also offers fax and copying services. Meeting facilities are also available in the Clarion hotel (tel: 5610 0000; www.choicehotels.no) at Bergen Airport.
Accessibility is good at Bergen Airport. There are parking spaces reserved for disabled travellers in the parking area near the terminal. Toilets and lifts can accommodate wheelchairs. Travellers with special needs are advised to notify their airline before travelling.
There are around 3,500 parking spaces at the airport, 1,500 of which are under cover. The garage is located close to the terminal and offers both short-term and long-term options. Long-term parking is cheaper in the outdoor car parks. For more information contact EuroPark (tel: 2205 3470).
Car hire companies located at Bergen Airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. Desks are located in the terminal, and cars can be supplied ready pre-heated and ice-free in winter.
Airport hotels
A five-minute bus ride from Bergen Airport, the 197-room Scandic Bergen Airport hotel offers business and meeting facilities, a shop, fitness centre, restaurant and bar.
