A new terminal building is at the planning stage; however no schedule for its construction is as yet in place.
Staffed information booths are located in the West Hall (tel: (407) 825 2142) and East Hall (tel: (407) 825 2353). Courtesy telephones are located throughout the terminal.
From the north, take SR436 (Semoran Boulevard) or SR417 (Greeneway). From the south, take SR417 (Greeneway). From the west, take SR528 (Beeline Expressway). All can be joined from the I-4. From the east, take SR528 (Beeline Expressway), which can be joined from I-95.
Public Transport
Bus: The Lynx (tel: (407) 841 5969; www.golynx.com) bus service departs from side A of the terminal Level 1, with services to Orlando city centre (journey time: 40 minutes, fare $2), International Drive, Walt Disney World (journey time: 75 minutes) and Apopka. A regular shuttle services to other out-of-town destinations leaves from Level 1 of the A and B sides of the terminal.
Taxi: Taxis are available on both sides of the terminal from Level 1. Taxi companies include Diamond Cab Company (tel: (407) 523 3333; www.diamondcabco.com), and Yellow/City/Checker Cab (tel: (407) 422 2222; www.mearstransportation.com).
Terminal facilities
Facilities include a bank, bureaux de change, and ATMs. Postal services are available, as are telephones (some with data ports) in the terminal. 24-hour Internet kiosks are located around the airport, and free Wireless Internet access is also available.
Refreshment facilities include fast-food outlets, a bar and grill, various restaurants, delicatessen, bars and cafés.
There are many shops at the airport, including duty-free in the airside satellites.
There is a lost property service (tel: (407) 825 2111). Trolleys and a porter service are available.
Shoeshine services are available. The airport also has medical facilities.
Airport facilities
Meeting rooms, international telecommunications and a full secretarial service are provided at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Hotel conference centre (tel: (407) 825 1234; orlandoairport.hyatt.com), which is located within the main terminal building, and offers a total of 3,900sq m (42,000sq ft) of meeting and events space.
All toilet facilities are wheelchair accessible. TDD telephones are located throughout the airport. Disabled parking spaces are provided in the parking garages and shuttle buses provide transportation to the terminal; to ensure availability and to make advance arrangements, contact airport parking (tel: (407) 825 2980).
There are three car parks with direct access to the terminal, as well as three satellite car parks offering economy parking facilities and a free shuttle service to/from the terminal. The airport's parking information line provides further details (tel: (407) 825 7275). The airport also has a free short-term parking lot for passenger pick-up, plus a cell phone waiting lot for drivers picking up passengers. Valet parking is also available.
All major car hire companies, plus numerous local operators, are easily accessible from the airport, with courtesy shuttles available on Level 1. On-site companies, located on Level 1 (A and B sides of the terminal building), are Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, EZ Rent-a-car, Hertz, National and Thrifty.
Airport hotels
Courtyard Orlando Airport is located 1.6km (1 mile) from Orlando International Airport and is served by a shuttle bus service. Hotel facilities include an on-site restaurant, fitness centre and business services. On-site parking is also available.
Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport is located 2.5km (1.5 miles) from Orlando International Airport and is served by a complimentary shuttle bus service. Hotel facilities include an on-site restaurant, meeting space and fitness centre. There is also a car hire desk located within the hotel.
Hawthorn Suites Orlando Airport is located 2.5km (1.5 miles) from Orlando International Airport and is linked via a complimentary airport shuttle bus service. Hotel facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and sports court. Free high-speed Internet is also available.
Hilton Garden Inn Orlando Airport is located 1.6km (1 mile) from Orlando International Airport and is served by a complimentary shuttle bus service. Hotel facilities include free Internet access, a business centre, on-site restaurant and extensive meeting space.
Holiday Inn Orlando Airport is located 1.6km (1 mile) from Orlando International Airport and is linked via a complimentary shuttle service. Hotel facilities include a tennis and basketball court, 24-hour gym, business centre and a restaurant.
Hyatt Regency Orlando International is located inside the main terminal at Orlando International Airport. The 445-room hotel features an outdoor pool, gymnasium and various other top-end amenities.
