The construction of the “South Terminal Complex” is ongoing, and it is expected to open in late 2021.

Staffed information booths are located in both the A and B sides of the main terminal building. Courtesy telephones are located throughout the terminal and in the four satellite terminals. There is also a dedicated contact number for flight information (tel: +1 407 825 8463).

Driving directions:

From central Orlando, head east along the 408 and take exit 14 towards Andes Avenue/FL-436/South Semoran Boulevard. Merge on to Lake Underhill Road, then turn right onto FL-436/South Semoran Boulevard. Keep left and continue along this road, following signs for Orlando International Airport. The journey is approximately 17 minutes depending on traffic.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Departing from side A of the terminal, on level 1, Lynx (tel: +1 407 841 5969; www.golynx.com) bus service operates routes to Orlando city centre, International Drive, Walt Disney World and Apopka. For the city centre, take bus 11 to the Lynx Central Bus Station Terminal. From here you can catch a bus to a range of destinations, including bus 42 to the centre (total journey time: 60 minutes; fare: $2).

Shuttle: Regular shuttle services to Orlando and various out-of-town destinations leave from level 1 of the A and B sides of the terminal. Many hotels in the area also offer courtesy shuttles.

Taxi: Taxis are available on both sides of the terminal, from level 1. Recommended taxi companies include Diamond Cab Company (tel: +1 407 523 3333; www.diamondcabco.com) and Yellow/City Cab (tel: +1 407 422 2222; www.mearstransportation.com). The fare to downtown Orlando is around US$45, and to Walt Disney World US$65.

Terminal facilities

Money:

ATMs are available within the airport buildings, including the four satellite terminals. Banks and bureaux de change services are located in the main terminal building.

Food:

Places to eat and drink at Orlando International Airport include fast-food outlets, grill restaurants, delicatessens, bars and cafés. The majority of these are located in the food court in the main terminal building, but there are also options in the satellite terminals.

Shopping:

There are many shops at Orlando International Airport, including duty-free in the airside satellite terminals. Stores available include fashion boutiques, bookshops, newsagents and gift retailers.

Luggage:

There is a lost property service (tel: +1 407 825 2111) on the B side of the main terminal. Trolleys and a porter service are available. Left-luggage facilities are no longer available at the airport.

Other:

Other available services at Orlando International Airport include shoeshine stalls and medical facilities.

Conference and business:

Meeting rooms, international telecommunications and a full secretarial service are provided at the on-site Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport hotel’s conference centre (tel: +1 407 825 1234; orlandoairport.regency.hyatt.com), which is located within the main terminal building and offers an extensive choice of meeting and event space.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Orlando International Airport. Telephones (some with data ports) and 24-hour internet kiosks are also available in the terminal buildings. Postal services are available in the main terminal.

Disabled facilities:

All toilet facilities are wheelchair accessible. TDD telephones are situated throughout Orlando International Airport. The APM shuttles passengers from the main terminal to concourses 1-4, and there are elevators and escalators in the main terminal. Disabled parking spaces are provided in the car parks and shuttle buses provide transportation from these to the terminal; to ensure availability and to make advance arrangements, contact airport parking (tel: +1 407 825 3562).

Car parking:

There are three car parks with direct access to the terminal, as well as two satellite car parks offering economy parking facilities (a free shuttle service connects these to/from the terminal). The airport also has a free short-term car park for passenger pick-up, plus a ‘cell phone’ waiting area for drivers picking up passengers. Valet parking is also available. Major car hire companies and numerous local operators are based at Orlando International Airport, in the A and B sides of the Ground Transportation Centre. International on-site companies include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty.
