Passports
Andorra is not a member of the European Union or the Schengen Area, but it maintains open borders with both France and Spain. There are no direct flights into Andorra; visitors must enter via these neighbouring countries.
EU nationals: To enter Andorra, you must pass through France or Spain, which are part of the Schengen Area. You will therefore need a valid passport or national ID card to enter those countries.
Non-EU nationals: You must have a valid passport issued within the past ten years and valid for at least three months beyond your planned stay. Entry to Andorra is only permitted via France or Spain, so Schengen visa rules apply to both entry and exit.

Visas
Andorra does not issue its own visas. Entry to Andorra is allowed only through France or Spain, both of which are Schengen countries. Travellers therefore require a valid Schengen visa if their nationality demands one. Multiple-entry visas are recommended, as travellers must re-enter the Schengen Area when leaving Andorra.
EU nationals: Do not require a visa to enter Andorra via France or Spain.
Non-EU nationals: Must follow Schengen visa regulations. Nationals of countries with visa-free access to the Schengen Area can also enter Andorra without a visa for up to 90 days.
Nationals from countries not listed under the Schengen visa-free scheme should contact the nearest French or Spanish embassy or consulate for visa information.
