About Zagreb Airport (ZAG)
Located just outside the Croatian capital city, Zagreb Airport is the main international airport in the country. Our guide to the airport provides essential information on how to get there, facilities within the terminal and options on where to stay nearby.
The new terminal is replacing the old terminal since March 2017.
There is an information desk (tel: 060 320 320 (within the national network)) in the depature hall on the second floor.
From central Zagreb, head southwards along route E11 and follow the signs to the town of Velika Gorica and the airport.

Zagreb Airport is situated 10km (6 miles) south of central Zagreb, in the Pleso suburb.

Public transport road:
Bus: The "Pleso prijevoz" shuttle bus service runs regularly between the airport and the main bus station in central Zagreb (tel: +385 1 633 1999). Tickets cost 30HRK one-way, and the journey time is around 30 minutes. The bus stop is adjacent to the taxi stand outside the terminal.
Taxi: Taxis operate from outside the terminal building. These can also be pre-booked through Radio Taksi Zagreb (tel: +385 1 660 0671). Fares start at around HRK300 and the journey into the city takes roughly 20-30 minutes.
There are two bureau de change offices and a number of ATMs in the terminal building. One bureau de change office is located on the ground floor behind customs and the other one is on the second floor in the departure hall.
A choice of cafés and bars is available in the departure hall before and after the security checkpoint.
Duty-free shopping is available; other shops at the airport sell a variety of items, including travel accessories, newspapers and the usual brand of souvenirs.
A lost and found service (tel: +385 1 456 2229) operates at Zagreb Airport. Free luggage trolleys are also available.
There are baby changing facilities in the domestic area of the terminal and a prayer room on the second floor of the terminal.
Conference and business:
A business class lounge is located on the second floor of the terminal, and conference facilities are available. Contact the airport’s information desk (tel: +385 1 456 2222) for more information on these services. The nearby Best Western Hotel Stella (tel: +385 1 539 3600; www.hotel-stella.hr) boasts a more extensive business centre (with further meeting facilities), while meeting and conference facilities can also be found at the larger hotels in Zagreb city centre.
Assistance for disabled passengers, including a wheelchair service, is available on request (tel: +385 1 456 2170). Zagreb Airport is fully accessible and is equipped with lifts, while designated disabled parking spaces are available close to the terminal entrance. Those requiring assistance to and from the aircraft should contact their airline and the airport in advance of travel.
Short-term and long-term parking is available in the parking area in front of the terminal.
International car hire providers at Zagreb Airport include Dollar/Thrifty, Hertz and Sixt, while several more international and local operators are also represented. Desks are situated in the terminal building immediately after customs and passport control.
