Driving directions:

From central Porto, follow the northbound A28 (IC1 motorway) to the A41 ring road junction and turn eastbound onto the A41. From here take the junction 2 exit and follow the road to the airport. The total drive time to the airport from Porto is approximately 16 minutes.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: There are regular bus connections (tel: +351 22 615 8158; www.stcp.pt) to the city centre (buses 601, 602, 604 and 3M serve the airport). A single fare is €1.85.

A long distance bus connection (tel: +34 986 288 030; www.autna.com) connects the airport with Vigo and Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain.

Shuttle: Shuttle services to central Porto are operated by Goin’ Porto (tel: +351 93 759 9089; www.goinporto.com) and Airport Shuttle (tel: +351 96 042 6692; www.100rumos.com); while Get Bus (tel: +351 25 326 2371; www.getbus.eu) runs services to Guimarães and Braga.

Taxi:Taxis (tel: +351 22 532 3350; www.antral.pt) are available 24 hours a day from outside Arrivals. A 20% surcharge is payable at weekends, on public holidays and between 2100 and 0600. Fares start at €20-30 to the city centre.

Public transport rail:

Metro: Porto do Metro’s (tel: +351 22 508 1000; www.metrodoporto.pt) Violet Line serves Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, operating regular services from 0600-0100. The station is located just outside the terminal. The journey to the city centre takes about 30 minutes and a single fare is €1.85.

Money:

There is a bank and currency exchange in the departures area. Several ATMs are positioned around the terminal.

Food:

There are numerous cafés and several restaurants in Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. These include a restaurant serving Portuguese fare, an ice cream parlour and a bar specialising in beer.

Shopping:

There are several shops at Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, including fashion and electronics outlets, gift retailers and bookshops – and of course port wine. Duty-free shopping is available at the departure gates for passengers leaving the EU. A ‘pick up on return’ service is available to those who do not wish to take their purchases on the outgoing flight.

Conference and business:

Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport has three lounges: Airport Lounge 1 is located on the ground floor of the departure hall and has 37 seats; Airport Lounge 2 is located on level 1 of the departure hall; while The Navigator Lounge is for passengers flying with TAP-Air Portugal only.

Communication Facilities:

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. A shop offering postal services, stamps, envelopes and phone cards is located on the ground floor of the terminal in the public area.

Disabled facilities:

Lifts and adapted toilets are present within the terminal, while lifts and ramps connect all levels. Passengers requiring a wheelchair, or any additional services, should contact their airline in advance of travel.

Car parking:

There are four 24-hour car parks at Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, with a total of around 3,000 spaces. Each car park has spaces for long- and short-stay parking.
