About Bahrain International Airport (BAH)
Bahrain International Airport serves the small island nation of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf, and more specifically the capital city of Manama. Our guide to the airport includes important contact details, information on terminal facilities, and local hotel recommendations.
There is a customer service desk (tel: +973 17 339 339) in the main arrivals concourse, after the customs area.
From central Manama the simplest way to reach the airport is via the eastbound King Faisal Highway (that becomes the Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Causeway, and ultimately Airport Avenue), which leads directly to the terminal.
Bahrain International Airport is located 6km (4 miles) northeast of Manama, the Bahraini capital, on the island of Muharraq.

The airport has an extensive duty-free shopping area (www.bdutyfree.com) located in the departures concourse. This offers a wide range of goods and gifts – notably gold, jewellery and electronic items – as well as local crafts. Orders can be placed online for collection at the airport. There are also bookshops at various points.

First-aid facilities are available throughout the airport and there is a pharmacy on the first floor. A Muslim prayer room is also located on site.
The terminal is fully accessible to disabled travellers, with either lifts or ramps in place where required. Bahrain Airport Services (tel: +973 17 321 444) can assist with special requests.
