About Al Ain International Airport (AAN)
Al Ain International Airport is the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s second international airport and is located 18km (11 miles) northwest of the Al Ain city centre. From central Al Ain, head east on 135th Street/Shek Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, then continue north on 138th Street/Hazza Bin Sultan Street. At the second roundabout, take the third exit onto 111th Street/Al Etihad Street to reach the airport. The drive is approximately 20 minutes.

Public transport road:
Bus: Bus number 496 connects Al Ain International Airport with the town centre, stopping at Al Ain Town Square and Al Ain Mall (journey time: 30 minutes; fare: AED2). For further information, contact the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (tel: +971 3 7464 44; www.dot.abudhabi.ae).
Taxi: Metred taxis offer services to central Al Ain. Speak to the staff at the airport’s information desk for assistance with booking an official taxi. Alternatively, contact the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (tel: +971 2 8008 8888; www.dot.abudhabi.ae).
A bank, ATMs, and a currency exchange service are available in the airport.
There are restaurants and cafés within the terminal building.
The airport has a large duty-free complex that sells souvenirs, alcohol, and other goods.
Free luggage trollies are available free of charge in the terminal area, but left luggage facilities are not available.
A medical centre is located in the main terminal building.
Conference and business:
There are no business or conference facilities at Al Ain International Airport. Passengers requiring these services will need to travel to one of the city centre hotels, such as the Al Ain Rotana (tel: +971 3 754 5111; www.rotana.com).
Public telephones are located throughout the terminal.
The terminal building is accessible to wheelchair users and houses disabled toilet facilities.
Long and short-term parking options are available immediately outside the terminal building.
There are no car rental company desks at the airport. However, international car rental companies offer services outside the airport in the city. Hertz is one international car hire chain present in Al Ain and cars must be picked up at the office located in the city.
