Weather in Detroit

Detroit has four distinct seasons, starting with a cold January when temperatures are around -7°C (18°F). Snow and ice are prevalent throughout the winter. In July, the warmest month, the average temperature is around 29°C (84°F). Summer is the busiest period for tourists, who leap on the opportunity to boat, fish, and bike around the city. Detroit is also worth visiting in the autumn when the weather is crisp and cool and the autumn foliage is at its height. Spring is unpredictable but coincides with the city's most popular music festival, Movement, which attracts throngs to the riverfront.
