Passports
To enter Chile, a passport valid at least six month beyond the stay is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.
Visas
Visas are not required by the nationals referred to in the chart above for stays in Chile of up to 90 days, except for nationals of Australia, who need to a apply for an online visa.
Nationals not referred to in the chart above are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements.
Visa applicants must provide an invitation letter or hotel booking and show sufficient funds.

Temporary residence
Foreigners can apply for a temporary residence permit online for stays of up to 120 days. Holders of the temporary residence permit are allowed to do paid work in Chile.

Entry with children
Foreign children under 18 who are arriving as tourists with their legal guardians and then want to leave Chile alone, with only one parent, with friends or family, or with a group must obtain a legalized authorisation to travel from their legal guardians.
