The airport is just off the main road that follows the coast directly into Sharm.

Public Transport

Public transport road: 

Bus: Public minibuses operate from outside Arrivals into Sharm El Sheikh (journey time is around 30 minutes).

Taxi: Regular taxis and tourist taxis (which charge double the fare) operate from the airport. Minibuses also go to Sharm el Sheikh: they wait outside the airport and only leave once full (journey time: 20 minutes).

Most arriving passengers are taken to their hotels by tour operator coaches.

There are several restaurants and snack bars at the airport.

Shopping: 

There are several shops at the airport, including a newsagent/bookstore, souvenir shops and jewellery shops. Duty-free shopping is also available.

There are no business facilities at the airport. The big hotels at the resort all have conference and meeting facilities.

Disabled facilities: 

Facilities for disabled travellers are basic. Wheelchairs are available from the airline counters. Travellers requiring assistance should contact their airline prior to departure.

Car parking: 

Short- and long-term secured parking is available outside both terminals.

Car rental: 

Thrifty is represented at the airport. Other providers operate from resort hotels.

There are currently no hotels at the airport. All are located in the resort itself, about 20 minutes away.
