Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport Guide (BLQ)
Here you'll find essential information on Bologna G Marconi Airport, including contact details, airport transfer facts, details of airport facilities, and how to get there.
There are two information desks located in the Departures area of Terminals A and B. In addition, there is a flight information board in Terminal A Departures and 96 screens, providing flight information, located throughout the airport. A telephone information service (tel: 05164 79615) is also available. A tourist information counter is located in Arrivals in Terminal A; staff can provide information on hotels, restaurants, events and city attractions.
Terminals A and B are within walking distance of each other.
From the Bologna tangenziale (bypass), passengers should take Exit 4 and follow signs to the airport. From the A14, they should take the Bologna-San Lazzaro exit; once on the bypass road, they should then take Exit 4 for the airport. From the A13, passengers should take the Bologna-Arcoveggio exit; then, once on the bypass road, they should take Exit 4 for the airport. From the A1, passengers should take the Bologna-Casalecchio exit; then, once on the bypass, they should take Exit 4 for the airport.
Public Transport
Bus: The Aerobus (tel: 0512 90290; www.atc.bo.it) departs every 15 minutes from outside Arrivals (Terminals A and B) and runs to Bologna central railway station and the city centre (journey time: 20 minutes). Tickets can be bought on the bus. There are also bus services to/from Modena Airport and Modena city centre (journey time: 60 minutes) and to/from Siena (journey time: 2 hours 30 minutes).
Taxi: Taxi services are available outside Arrivals at both terminals. Information is provided on 0513 72727 and 051 4590.
Terminal facilities
There is a bank on the first floor of Terminal A. There are ATMs and bureaux de change in Terminals A and B. More than 50 payphones are located throughout the airport and there is a post office on the ground floor in the Arrivals area. Internet access is also available.
Bars and restaurants can be found in both terminals.
Various shops, including newsagents and tobacconists, a shoe shop, a clothes shop, a leather goods and accessories shop, and a shop selling regional food produce, are located in both terminals. Duty-free shopping is also available in Terminals A and B.
The lost property office is located on the ground floor of Terminal A.
Baby-changing facilities are available in all ladies' toilets. There is a children's play area in the self-service and restaurant area on the second floor of Terminal A, featuring cartoon films and a special menu. Help phones, for assistance with children, are located in both terminals. Special bags and identification tags are available from check-in desks for transporting pushchairs onboard the aircraft.
Airport facilities
The Marconi Business Lounge (tel: 05164 79616) provides a fully equipped office area with audiovisual aids and photocopying service, Wireless Internet access, and broadband Internet access connected to an office area printing service. There are also meeting rooms as well as a conference room for up to 99 people. Meeting spaces are also available at the Sheraton Bologna Hotel and Conference Centre nearby (tel: 0514 00056; www.starwoodhotels.com).
There is a wide range of facilities for disabled passengers, including 14 disabled toilets, 40 reserved parking spaces and help telephones located in Terminal A (at the Arrivals/Departures entrances and at the check-in and information desks) and Terminal B (at the entrance and check-in desks). Help telephones can be used to request wheelchairs or airport operator assistance. Oxygen therapy apparatus, stretchers and a specially-adapted waiting room are also available.
There are 5,100 parking spaces in five car parks at the airport. There are car parks for short-term, medium-term and long-term parking. A valet service is also available on the ground level of P2.
Avis, Budget, Autoeuropa, Autovia, Europcar, Hertz, Locauto Rent, Maggiore and Sixt all have offices on the ground floor of the Terminals building.
