There is a tourist information desk in Terminal 1's main hall and another in Terminal 2, which is only open for arriving flights.

Transfer between terminals: 

A shuttle bus links the terminals, departing every 10 minutes.

Driving directions: 

It takes 15-30 minutes to drive from the centre of the city to Tunis Carthage International Airport, depending on traffic. From the city, follow the A1 until it intersects with the P9, which leads directly to the airport.

Public Transport

Public transport road: 

Bus: Local bus 35 runs to the city and Tunis Marine train station (journey time: 30 minutes; fare: TND0.80).

Taxi: Yellow metered taxis are available at the taxi rank outside the terminal. Other unregulated taxis should be avoided as they often overcharge. The journey time to Tunis is about 20 minutes. The average fare to the city centre is around TND3, but this rises after 2100.

ATMs and 24-hour currency exchange offices are available in both the arrival and departure areas.

Communication: 

Telephones are located in Arrivals and Departures. A post office can be found in Departures. Mobile phone hire is also available.

Food: 

There are several snack bars at Tunis Carthage International Airport. A restaurant is located in Departures.

Shopping: 

Duty-free shopping is available in Arrivals and Departures. There are also shops selling luxury goods and local produce.

Other: 

There is a travel agency in Arrivals and a small tourist office on the first floor of Departures. There is also a hairdresser's in Arrivals. First aid is available.

Airport facilities

Conference and business: 

There are no business or conference facilities at Tunis Carthage International Airport. A VIP lounge is available in Departures.

Disabled facilities: 

Lifts, ramps and adapted toilets are available for disabled passengers at Tunis Carthage International Airport. Wheelchairs are available from the airline counters. Travellers requiring assistance should contact their airline prior to departure.

Car parking: 

A car park with 2,500 spaces is located just outside the main terminal, and there is space for another 500 vehicles outside Terminal 2.

Car rental: 

Car hire companies at Tunis Carthage International Airport include: Avis, Budget, Hertz and Sixt. These operators each have desks in Arrivals.
