About Port Elizabeth Airport (PLZ)
Port Elizabeth Airport, which has been nicknamed the 'ten minute airport' due to its close proximity to key areas of Port Elizabeth, currently operates domestic-only routes to other areas of South Africa. Port Elizabeth Airport can be reached quickly from the city centre via Route 102 which merges onto the M4. From there take a right onto Walmer Boulevard (M9), and then a left down Third Avenue which leads directly to the airport.

Port Elizabeth Airport is situated within Port Elizabeth, 5km (3 miles) west of the business district and 3km (2 miles) southwest of Algoa Bay.

Public transport road:
Shuttle:Shuttle services are available on request from Blunden Coach Tours (tel: +27 41 451 4803; www.blunden.co.za). These operate according to flight schedules, and passengers can also book their return journey to the airport in advance. The journey time to the city centre is approximately 10 minutes - prices depend on the exact destination and size of group.
Taxi:Metered taxis are available outside the departures hall, the fare into town is about ZAR50-70.
There is an ATM situated between the arrival and departure halls. The information desk operates a bureau de change facility.
There is a restaurant on the first floor of the departure hall and a choice of cafés in both the arrival and departure areas.
There are several shops at Port Elizabeth Airport, including gift and sweet shops in the departure hall. As there are no international services at present, duty-free is not available.
Luggage trolleys are available in the arrival hall (next to the baggage reclaim belts), in the car park, and at the entrance to the departure hall.
Baby changing facilities are available in the ladies' toilets.
Conference and business:
The Landing Strip conference centre is located on the first floor of the main terminal building; catering here is available by prior arrangement. There is also a conference room in the Aero Park Block B (tel: +27 41 507 7418), situated 200m (656ft) from the arrivals hall, which can seat up to 30 people. Televisions, videos, overhead projectors and white boards are available for hire.
Close to the airport, the beachfront Radisson Blu Hotel (tel: +27 41 509 5000; www.radissonblu.com) offers a range of meeting and event rooms, as well as a business centre.
Wi-Fi internet access (the first 4 hours of use is free of charge) is available throughout Port Elizabeth Airport. Additionally, there is a post box in the departure hall, and public telephones are available.
