About Nuremberg Airport (NUE)
Nuremberg Airport is Bavaria’s second busiest after Munich. Our guide to the airport provides information on terminal facilities, local transport and nearby accommodation, plus important contact details.
Free Wi-Fi coverage throughout the terminal complex was introduced by the airport in 2014.
An information desk is situated in the check-in area on the airport’s ground floor.
From Nuremberg city centre, follow Bucher Straße north, crossing the Nordring on to Erlanger Straße (national route 4). At Marienbergstraße turn right following the airport signposts. Flughafenstraße is about 1km (0.6 mile) along on the left.
The airport is located around 5km (3 miles) north of Nuremberg city centre.
Public transport road:
Bus: Bus lines 32 and 33 (tel: (911) 270 750; www.vgn.de) operate regularly between the airport and the city. The price is €2.50, and trips take 15-20 minutes from outside the departures area. Additionally, a night bus (N12) operates throughout Friday and Saturday nights and prior to public holidays.
Public transport rail:
Nuremberg’s U2 metro line (tel: (911) 270 750; www.vgn.de) runs directly from the airport to the city’s central station, the trip taking 12 minutes and costing €2.50 one way.
A bureau de change operates Monday-Saturday, and an ATM is available.
There are two bars in the public area of the terminal, and another in Departures. A choice of restaurants (including one in the airport hotel) and a fast food outlet are available, along with a bakery.
Several shops offer duty-free items for passengers leaving the EU, books, jewellery, giftware and general goods. There is a tax refund service for non-EU residents.
Lost property enquiries should be directed to the main information desk (tel: (911) 93700). Luggage lockers are available in car parks 1 and 2 opposite the terminal building.
Options include a panoramic observation deck and a hairdresser.

The airport offers eight meeting rooms with space for up to 200 people (Mövenpick Conference Centre, tel: (911) 952 860), and more are available in the on-site Mövenpick Hotel (tel: (911) 35010; www.moevenpick-hotels.com).
