Driving directions:

From Nuremberg city centre, follow Bucher Straße north, crossing the Nordring on to Erlanger Straße (national route 4). At Marienbergstraße turn right following the airport signposts. Flughafenstraße is about 1km (0.6 mile) along on the left.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Bus lines 32 and 33 (tel: (911) 270 750; www.vgn.de) operate regularly between the airport and the city. The price is €2.50, and trips take 15-20 minutes from outside the departures area. Additionally, a night bus (N12) operates throughout Friday and Saturday nights and prior to public holidays.

Public transport rail:

Nuremberg’s U2 metro line (tel: (911) 270 750; www.vgn.de) runs directly from the airport to the city’s central station, the trip taking 12 minutes and costing €2.50 one way.

Terminal facilities

Money:

A bureau de change operates Monday-Saturday, and an ATM is available.

Food:

There are two bars in the public area of the terminal, and another in Departures. A choice of restaurants (including one in the airport hotel) and a fast food outlet are available, along with a bakery.

Shopping:

Several shops offer duty-free items for passengers leaving the EU, books, jewellery, giftware and general goods. There is a tax refund service for non-EU residents.

Luggage:

Lost property enquiries should be directed to the main information desk (tel: (911) 93700). Luggage lockers are available in car parks 1 and 2 opposite the terminal building.

Other:

Options include a panoramic observation deck and a hairdresser.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

The airport offers eight meeting rooms with space for up to 200 people (Mövenpick Conference Centre, tel: (911) 952 860), and more are available in the on-site Mövenpick Hotel (tel: (911) 35010; www.moevenpick-hotels.com). VIP lounges are also available, as are special facilities for business meeters and greeters.

Communication Facilities:

Wi-Fi is free of charge throughout the terminal complex. Public telephones can be found at various locations.

Disabled facilities:

The airport is fully accessible for passengers with reduced mobility or visual impairment. Special assistance can be pre-arranged, and discounted parking is available in the multi-storey car park for disabled people. As always, passengers requiring assistance should inform their airline before travelling.

Car parking:

Long and short-stay parking is available at NUE, with all car parks close to the terminals and served where necessary by free shuttle service. Valet parking service is also available. Parking can be pre-booked online via the airport website, and short-term stops of up to 20 minutes can be made free of charge.

Car rental:

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are among car hire companies represented at the airport.
