About Stuttgart Airport (STR)

A second Mövenpick hotel will be opened in spring 2019 close to the airport's planned long distance train station. The existing terminal 4 will be dismantled and built afresh by 2025.
Multilingual staff operate a central tourist information and help desk on the arrivals level (level 2) of Terminal 3. In addition, all terminals have information pillars featuring courtesy telephones for passenger information.
Stuttgart Airport is located just off the E52 from Strasbourg to Munich.
From central Stuttgart, head south along the B27 route, and take the exit onto Flughafenstraße; this road leads directly to the airport entrance, follow the signs for either ‘Ankunft (Arrivals)’ or ‘Abflug (Departures)’.
Transfer between terminals:
The terminals are housed within the same building, and are within walking distance of each other.

Public transport road:
Bus:There are several direct bus links (tel: +49 711 19449; www.vvs.de) to destinations in and around Stuttgart, departing from outside the Terminal 1 arrivals level. The journey time to the city centre is around 25 minutes and the single fare is €3.70.
Taxi:There is a 24-hour taxi service to Stuttgart (journey time to central Stuttgart: 20 minutes; fare: approximately €40). The taxi rank is situated in front of Terminal 1, on level 3 (Departures). A pre-bookable service is available from Taxi Auto Zentrale (tel: +49 711 551 0000; www.taxi-auto-zentrale.de).
Public transport rail:
Rail:Stuttgart Airport is connected to central Stuttgart by S-Bahn (tel: +49 711 19449; www.vvs.de) commuter trains S2 (Schorndorf) and S3 (Backnang), which both serve Stuttgart Central Station (journey time: 30 minutes, fare €4). The S-Bahn station is in Terminal 1, on level 1.
Stuttgart Central Station is served by Deutsche Bahn (tel: +49 1806 996 633; www.bahn.de) trains for destinations throughout Baden-Württemberg, and high-speed intercity, express and regional trains to other cities in Germany and beyond.
There are two banks with bureau de change facilities in Terminal 1. Numerous ATMs are located throughout the airport.
A good range of restaurants, fast-food outlets, cafés and bars (including a Bavarian-style biergarten) are available at Stuttgart Airport, with options in each terminal.
There are a variety of shops at Stuttgart Airport, including fashion outlets, newsagents and gift shops. Duty- and tax-free outlets (for passengers travelling to destinations outside the EU) are available in Terminals 1, 3 and 4.
The lost property office (tel: +49 711 948 3355) deals with enquiries about lost and found items at Stuttgart Airport. A porter service (tel: +49 711 948 4500) is on hand to assist with luggage. Luggage storage facilities are available in Terminal 1.
Other facilities at Stuttgart Airport include a hairdresser’s, children's play area, chapel and petrol station. A medical centre (tel: +49 711 9331 5872) is situated on level 3 of Terminal 1. Sightseeing helicopter flights and guided tours can be arranged through the tourist information desk in Terminal 3.
Conference and business:
Meeting and conference facilities, accommodating up to 400 people, are available at the on-site Wöllhaf Conference and Banqueting Centre (tel: +49 711 948 2700; www.airport-konferenz.de). Rooms here are equipped with internet access and projectors, among other facilities. Meeting and conference facilities are also available at various airport hotels, including the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport & Messe (tel: +49 711 553 440; www.movenpick.com).
The Messe Stuttgart exhibition centre (tel: +49 711 185 600; www.messe-stuttgart.de) is adjacent to Stuttgart Airport.
Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Stuttgart Airport; the first 60 minutes of usage are free of charge. Public telephones are also available and there is a post office located in Terminal 3.
Stuttgart Airport is fully accessible, with lifts, ramps and electronic revolving doors. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are situated on all levels and lowered telephones are available. Reserved parking for disabled passengers is clearly marked in the car parks adjacent to the terminal. Europcar provides hire cars for disabled drivers; reservations must be made in advance.
Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline in advance of travel.
Short-term parking is available in car parks P3, P5 and P7, which are located opposite the terminal buildings. Both short- and long-term rates are available in the covered P4 and P6 car parks and at the P0, P1, P2, P8, P9, P11, P12 and P15 parking areas – the first hour of parking in P0 is free of charge. Parking can be reserved in advance from the airport parking office (tel: +49 711 7224 9776).
Additional parking facilities are available at some nearby hotels, while valet parking is offered from the airport parking authority.
Car hire companies at Stuttgart Airport include: Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt, as well as a number of local operators. Booking desks for these operators are located on the arrivals level (level 2) of Terminal 3.
